  1. In Florida waters a spoon can be deadly, like jigs theres times when they want them exclusively and wont touch Big Ezs and Skinny Dippers Iv won 2 tournaments on spoons with sacks over 25lbs one of those tournaments I had a bass blow up on that come out of the water and it was the biggest bass my partner and myself have seen on Big O. We already had 2 six's and a seven. The trick is to have it coming towards you as its landing like a buzz bait, once it sinks forget it.
  2. Is there water in the flats?
  3. Good Job by both of you!!!!
  4. Those canals are loaded with 6 to 7, 8 pounders, the growing period gets a little to fast down south for the fish to reach double digits, while they're out there ts very hard to come by south of West Palm. When I drug the canals and things got slow I would put it at Browns Farm just past WPB county line on 27 to the right going north, I would fish that canal that parallels US 27, it runs all the way up to South Bay. Theres a make shift dirt ramp just off the bridge. Small boats only, and for the love of God dont eat any of those fish.
  5. Back before they first came out a guy was waxing everyone up north, I was BSing with him and he held up a Big EZ real quick and put it away. I went back to the truck and told my partner that he showed me some gigantic plastic fish with a fat body. We still laugh about that..
  6. Does bass buster start a new season? Never mind got it.
  7. Thats the Magic Canal, and like mentioned nowhere near browns farm. February is the best month to go, after a cold snap through a large Gold rapala to the bank and let it sit. They bed on those big coral rocks Theres some hogs in that canal I weighed a 13 plus for a guy once.
  8. Just saw his Big O up in Okeechobee, cool graphics. The owner was at a little event at Garrads Bait and Tackle along with Steve, I showed him my trolling motor lock down, he loved it. They are unbelievable boats.
  9. Or maybe this I dont know, it was a good year, but not good timing with Tournaments, Im going to try and change that in 2014.
  10. Iv got to meet a few of you guys throughout the year. With the exception of Fishing Daddy I found everyone to be pretty good Cats. Have a good year guys and thanks for helping me kill a little time on here. And FD you know I love you buddy. I think this was my best of the year, I dont know.
  11. I learned a long time ago "One Monkey Dont Stop A Show". I fish alone about 75% of the time.
  12. Maybe its my computer?
  13. I cant seem to figure it out it keeps putting me to Everstart? Gator Division 2014 ? Signed: High Tech Harry
  14. The Magic canal was always my favortite canal in the whole system its cut right into the glades with a little distance from the dykes. Circa 78 I got my first Jon Boat I used to go down there all the time. It was so nice out there, lots of great memories. I have some old fish photos I have to dig out and show you guys some time.
  15. Yes hard to fish with 2 guys, you have to pick a bank and both take a side. But deep. There used to be an old man, Camping Frank that lived out there in a van and he built some great spoons that became ledgendary in the Glades. He used to keep an eye on everyones cars.
  16. I think your refering to the Magic Canal.l 67 C Theres a ramp by monroe station that lets you access that canal. 27 south from Pines Blvd turn right on 41 go about 2 miles to Krome make another right and head north to the bend, youll see a pump house and a grade road that leads to a dirt levee, go over the levee and theres a ramp. Iv personbally weighed a 13lber at that ramp for a guy. Narrow but deep, has coral rocks alond the side Febuary the hogs line up bedding on the coral.
  17. If you live in Ft Myers give it a try, It may be worth it. That cold snap may have knocked back a lot of the weeds. Im curiouse to know.
  18. I would buy it a few drinks first.
  19. When I was looking for my house I met a guy in Okeechobee he was a retired Fireman and was about 10 years ahead of me at the time, he had a place up there and loved to fish tournaments. He told me two years prior he started guiding, he said it became a full time job and caused him to lose interest in fishing. He said if you move here like I did dont start guiding, it'll ruin tournament fishing, that always stayed in my mind. Iv done it in the Glades and up at the lake a few fill in trips it makes for a long day dunking shiners listeining to people talk about stuff you dont care about. Who knows maybe one day, never say never.
  20. Those guys are pretty much better in the Glades. If your going to Clewiston Steve Daniels If your going to Okeechobee Buck Derance or Larry Wright All of these guys are from a Southern heritage I dont know what you mean by no rednecks? They have experiance in bringing all age and genders fishing so they're are patient . And they are seriouse about putting you on fish.
  21. Ill take gander mountain anyday, our BPS keeps cutting stock to the point I dont even go in there. Signed: Buzzkill Jones
