  1. Is a Twinkie alive?
  2. The snook are moving in the cuts, by the jettys, any live bait. on the balloon rig FF described will work. Cant keep them.
  3. Loxahatchee
  4. A buddy asked if I would sit in for him on a club tourny tomorrow, its on Alligator Alley, waters rising in the canals and it makes for tuff fishing. The fish love to go out on the flats as soon as they can swim with their backs under water. I agreed to this a month ago,Oh well ill see what we can do. Beats sitting on the couch.
  5. Very good lure, you may want to try Rapalas shallow running crank bait with the weird lip, also a great shallow runner.
  6. Thats my nickname, Okeechobee Fats
  7. Brad the problem with that is when you go to fish a tournament in your buddy's boat, never fails something you need is left behind. I wound up with this, lots of space, I m stuffing it like a Thanksgiving Turkey http://2fwww.great-lakes.org/graphics-2/XPS370-2.jpg
  8. I did the gym bag years ago, it got insanely heavy, i don't know I'm going to look at some others. What I need to do is weed out some colors I never use, but you know what will happen then.
  9. I don't know about you guys but after 40 years of Bass fishing this is one area I have not mastered. I have had them all, I have filled them up to weigh about as much as Rosey Odonol, then I say too much so i down size, after that I'm inevitably caught on the water without a bait thats would be working so I start filling them again and buy a larger one. I currently have a soft sided BPS with plastic inserts, I'm starting to not like the zippered poach s that pour plastic worm bags all over the deck when I open them. Plus no spinner bait compartment. Anyone feel my pain.
  10. They would be stupid to hire me, I spend all day there as it is :-[ I have some friends that work there, you get a deal on tackle, I think 20 % or something like that. i have never heard anything negative.
  11. I would try a small creature bait, or small jig. Light line if you can. Just slowly work it off those rocks. When you dove what kind of bait fish did you see? lots Brim, or minnows stick with the hard baits. Crayfish and newts, try some plastics.
  12. Also weather and water depths.
  13. I was say the same thing about 4-5. I like the fact that you put that beautiful sun set in there young man. that shows you really know what fishings all about. keep up the good work.
  14. I would have to see the water, thats kind of like saying I'm going golfing what club should I use. If your bass are done spawning I would try the deepest water adjacent to the pads. right were it drops off. Smaller Crank baits and small jigs. I would keep the baits smaller. Maybe try the banks early then move off. If they sprayed the weeds and their dying stay away, dieing vegetation takes up oxygen. See if theres a patch of green weeds that wasn't affected by the spraying, sometimes they miss a patch, this may hold some fish.
  15. Great, very informative so to answer my original question they fixed the road and ramp and the trees are gone. I called my friend last night who went with me, I said when did we go to the Stick Marsh about 10 years ago? He said try 20+ it was around 89. It wasn't opened long, it was loaded with stumps and trees, it was a cold February raining right after a front, and we still caught 20 fish. Time keeps flying by. faster and faster. Thanks for the info George.
  16. Maybe Farm 13 entering by Felsmere, I always got confused over there. but they had just opened it up I'm talking about 15 years ago maybe more. It had a horrible mud road to travel to the ramp at the time, and you couldnt keep fish.
  17. Yeah, this was when they first opened it, it was a flooded orange grove and there were tops of trees everywhere.
  18. Hows that road leading to the ramp now? The last time I was there it was muddy and a 4x4 was required,or at least helped, but that was a long time ago, I fished that when it first opened had to be 15 years ago maybe more. It was great. I see the orange trees are all gone, how long did they last?
  19. I like the main lake in the morning and then I go to the canals when the sun gets high. However I don't know the present water levels up there, real low water may make the canals too low.
  20. Nice fish, too bad you ruin it with that Gator shirt. (Go Canes) Were did you fish? I used to live in Alachua and fished that county like mad.
  21. Its a bit of a ride for you, but mile marker 41 has a ramp, and right now the bite is very good. Theres a ramp on east and west bound(called south and north I75 but its really not). Throw watermelon Trick Worms to the bank let them sink un weighted and hold on. This would work all along the Alley.
  22. I love it, I always do good, especially before a storm, but usually when its a slow steady rain, it rains really hard it seems to mess them up. the problem down here is the lightning that comes with the summer rain. My home Lake is in the lighting belt of the state that has the worst lighting in the world. So I'm basically fishing in the worlds worst lighting area.
  23. Hey man, I'm new myself, but so far I like this place. God i wish i could start buying stuff from scratch.
