  1. Yes Iv completed all the checks, its the charger, its for all the trolling motor battery's, I have the 101 MK, the middle bank of the charger fails to charge or register on good battery's, all battery's took a charge on a separate charger and are good. A friend of mine told me that by hooking all 6 leads to one good battery it re sets the charger. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in doing this.
  2. Yes its actually the 3 bank, one bank isnt charging
  3. I have a 3 bank Charging System International charger that looks like it has a bank that has gone bad. Has anyone ever heard of re setting the charger?
  4. I agree a club would be your best bet, lots of fun, a lot of them have a team set up, going in with a boat helps their always looking for more boaters. Old Glory Bassin Fools Everglades Bassmasters
  5. Sounds good, sounds like your on some nice fish, try a top water Zara Spook, but don't get caught up in that early morning only for top water deal, the biggest top water fish I have caught have been after 1200, big fish eat in the middle of the day. Work that big Spook over that grass real aggressive and I bet you raise a hog. As a matter of fact that 9 1/2 I'm holding in the picture came at 100pm on a tiny torpedo, in a hole over hydrilla.
  6. I have fished pretty much every major lake in Florida in my 40 years of chasing these stupid fish, I have to say that Tarpon has kicked my but every time. That sounds like a good day. Were you fishing the submerged structure?
  7. I came in second fishing frogs this weekend, 12 lbs with 4 fish, i couldn't get that 5 fish and it cost me the tournament. I love it, I had a 5 lber smash a Horney Toad, he came out of the water, nothing beats that.
  8. Rock Pits, they'll get you every time.
  9. Small and slow. It isn't a strong front but its the first, that always effects them a little worse. Southern Florida Bass turn off big time after fronts, later on when the real cold ones head down you need to get out a flipping stick.
  10. My Storm was built in 92, I have had it in every situation you could imagine, it has never let me down, the new ones are made of composite, I have an older wood hull, guys that have owned both like the older wood hulls better in the rougher water. But the new ones have more bells and whistles. Its pictured in the show us your boat post, I have to re power it It only has an old 200 on it and its a dog, i originally had a fingerported 225 Evinrude. It hauled azz back then but that blew ands I got a good deal on this 200 I couldnt refuse.
  11. Was the guy that bought it named Scott? Dual console.
  12. Purple, says he got a great deal on it. We bust his chops about that on a daily basis. I asked him if his sponser was Welchs Grape Juice. I have been in pretty much every Bass boat made, my home lake is Okeechobee known for its rough water, I have yet to find a better ride then a Storm. A close second would be a Bass Cat.
  13. Well for my buddys sake I was hoping maybe someone knew a trick, or he had it rigged wrong. But I'm afraid you are right. Example " Their good but you cant run a jacking plate on one" etc.. Hes one of these speed nuts, he has a beautiful Storm that's fast and probably one of the best rough water boats I have been in, but he had to get this because he heard they were faster. Anyone here ever catch a fish going 90 mph, I know I haven't.
  14. I was wondering how it is in rough water, my friend just got one and his is atrocious, we had a slight chop today and it beat the heck out of us. Its fast and fish's nice but man what a horrible ride.
  15. There can be up to 4 spawns with fish spawning at any given time in Florida. Water level and weather comes into play throwing the book out the window at times.
  16. A misconception of shooting fish in the barrel at any well stocked lake just isn't true, bass are one of the few fish that have the ability to breed to what their environment can handle, in other words that 2 lone bass in a farm pond will spawn heavy as to a crowded pond were they will actually lay less eggs. The FPL power Plant is an example in Martin County open just once or twice a year to the public, you still have to fish. All that being said I think the lack of pressure makes the Disney Trip sound fun, I have a friend that went years ago, he said it was great, but man that's expensive, I agree I would rather go hire a guide at an unknown lake or go spend a few days on the water at a nearby hotel for that kind of money. Think how quick 2 hours will go if your catching fish.
  17. There was a minor fish kill in the Buckhead Ridge canals on the north end of Okeechobee, that last band of Fay dropped about 6 inch of water in 2 hours, it depleted the oxygen and killed a bunch of fish in the canal only not out in the lake.
  18. Its good that you got to see it low, it helps understand the lake, sounds like your doing the right things,I talked to my friend today hes been catching them about midway in, in other words not all the way back but half way between the outside and the back, in 3' of water.
  19. Unrelated to your topic but I used to catch the biggest blue gill and Shell crackers I have ever seen in any Florida lake in those stump fields, I used to go with this old guy who would tear the pads up with his engine and then we would drop the grass shrimp in the stirred up water. I'm telling you they were as big as dinner plates, I wish i had saved a few for mounts, but back then I was lucky enough to have money to fish. ;D
  20. How did you fish the Shoal? Their catching fish in the outside line, also Long point and Baybottom have been producing big sacks. Okeechobee is a hard lake to fish you can fish 300 yards of reeds and the fish will be holding in a 20 yard stretch. My partner was up there yesterday he said it was slow as well, he was with 3 other boats and they only turned about 6 fish between all of them. however the day before they caught an 8 and a 10 1/2, big fish have been biting.
  21. It rained all day, and wind blowing like mad, maybe I can get out tomorrow.
  22. Oh so they arent food sources, just structure? For some reason I had a picture in my mind of some kind of mineral block of compacted fish food that they sink and then come back and change out once or twice a year. No, no food mechanism. Just structure
  23. They are like wood pallets, described as hardwood brush bundles, they at times use hay bails. They have to be fished slowly in the summer; it's my experience that they will give you quality as opposed to quantity
  24. Yes!! Even with normal water you have to go straight out staying in the channel then turn only north about 300 yards past that peninsula of rocks that runs parallel to the channel, never south, forget south from there, its a mine field. But you're ok going north paralleling the shore then easing in towards shore, some great summer fishing over there, J&S, Harney Locke, especially with the water almost at 14. All that flooded grass. They tore them up in the J&S canal all summer, but personally I don't care if I see another Rim Ditch for 20 years. Im going out of OkeeTanti this weekend I cant wait.
  25. Its not bad, but you better check to see if the lock is open, it was closed a few weeks back. Also have you fished over there before? If so you know its a trechorouse area.lots of rocks.
