  1. Their bedding like crazy, its anyone's game right now. 1st place swimming baits 2nd flipping So there you go take your choice. Some days you get them some you don't.
  2. Good Job!!! We bombed caught about a thousand dinks where I was catching 4s nd 5s all week long without batting an eye. We had about 14 lbs if that didn't even bother weighing them in. My best spot had a boat perched on it first thing upon our arrival so we went to plan B, which I was still confidant in. Oh well I had fun pre fishing in pre frontal conditions, they were eating the walls down, I couldn't cartch a small fish. Never been so confidant going in to a tournament. Their bedding like mad.
  3. Back to Ghosts and Goblins. Rising water, a tropical depression, and a passing cold front 55 degrees predicted Friday morning. Wind will be ripping out of the north. Did I miss any negative factors on the conditions or are there any left?
  4. The pumps at the river are on higher then Iv ever seen, the river flowing down and southeast wind had the mouth of the kissimee looking like an ocean yesterday, there was 5 foot rollers breaking at the markers. They blocked off the upper river due to the current coming down, there pumping up at TOHO like mad pushing all the water south. Too fast isn't really that good but Ill take it, I just hiope this depression doesn't put too much on us, there nothing worse then too high, it turn's the lake to a mud hole and ruins all the grass.
  5. Toho was rough we scratched out a decent limit but couldn't get a kicker. But it was the hardest limit I have ever fished for, their still catching them deep, we caught ours in the slop throwing frogs.
  6. The only way 500lbs gets in that boat is if i pick up my EX Wife on the way to the lake, and I have serious doubts of that happening.
  7. I agree 100%
  8. Its a whole different animal with water in it.
  9. I'm glad its coming up but i had a great summer up there this year, experience on the lake becomes a big factor when its low. Problem is they stop many of the tournaments so its all for not.
  10. I leave tomorrow for TOHO to fish with my buddy on a Saturday tournament, return to fish Okeechobee for a week. Im coming back Monday to get two Talons hooked to the back of my boat, cant wait. Then back to Big O till the following Monday. I don't mean to rub this in but...GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!
  11. Like I said it will be up over 13 by Friday Man they must have got some seriouse rain up there.
  12. You used up all the good ones. How about missing an eye on a rod and finding out tournament morning. Oh.. I left the motor toater strapped to the engine once, couldnt get out of the hole and then hard a big snap, stopped tio find half of the toater hooked to the lower unit.
  13. 12 maybe I doubt 13, my buddy told me TOHO is flooded. The Kissimme valley got hit hard and thats what helps the lake. To put it in perspective a water management guy told me once that if you completely drained Toho,Kissimme, Hachina, and Cypress into Okeechobee it would only come up about 6inchs to a foot,
  14. I stayed at Richardsons years ago and it was pretty rough, I usually opt for one of the places off 192. Luckily my buddy retired and moved to St Cloud.
  15. There probably hoarding the shad up into the shallows feeding and then cruising back deep until the school gets ignited to feed again. Timing is everything in life, hit it right and you clean up.
  16. This would be my question. And you see my name.
  17. Well that didn't last long I just kicked myself out.
  18. 11.08 and dropping, be careful.
  19. Sounds good, not much of a club guy. Thanks, The Club of None, I'm voting myself President.
  20. Does one need to be in a federation club for this trail? Or can anyone fish it?
  21. Please I'm done with those morons, time to clean house. I gave up 50 yard line tickets to the Super Bowl because of a Tournament once. Turned out to be one of the most exciting games ever 49ers and Bengals 1989.
  22. Its always those 3-4 footers that are a pain. The only animal that makes me leave an are is an otter, they will clean out anything around.
  23. They had a good turn out, not a bunch of mega weights but lots of fish caught. I was out there watching them run all over. I wonder how many lost lower units?
  24. We are, came in 5th last year with 23lbs A very well run tourney.
  25. Anyone fishing it? I gave BFL a try years ago and didn't really have the time to commit, next year I'm going to give it a shot. I wasn't crazy about having to fish with a stranger, and at the time the guy that had the meetings loved to hear himself talk, we would get out of there at 900PM by the time you got back ate and retied it was late. I don't know maybe, the low waters keeping the Tournaments to a minimum I got to fish something.
