  1. Makes our fish bury up in the grass, yours may go deep.
  2. It was involving a hog but not the kind we fish for
  3. About 6 Weeks
  4. Maybe this will help. http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/ra1595/Big%20Head/?action=view&current=2012-03-24_11-43-25_615-1.jpg
  5. Hardly any of the pros were up north Saturday, I think all the big sacks are coming from down south. Went to the weigh in Friday my fishing partner and I took a test ride in a new skeeter with the Show on it, this enabled him to get an extra years warranty on one. We raised this 7 3/4, fishing out of a 16 foot jon boat. I need my boat, bad.
  6. I caught the crabs once but that had nothing to do with the water.
  7. Medlock Jigs can be had at Anglers in Clewiston they want 8 bucks a jig, Ill stick with the Dirty Jigs. I dont know whats up with the small print.
  8. In Florida I would not touch the weed guard if that’s what you’re referring to, a big mistake often made down here. The stiffer the better, when I pick a new jig up thats the first thing I look at. IE: Medlocks double weed guard.
  9. Dirty Jig makes a high quility jig, I should clarify at times I go down to a 1/4, depending on cover wind etc.. I like the KVD heavey cover swim jig when swimming them with a Naked Swimmer threaded on.
  10. I like the Dirty Jigs, 1 1/2, and 1 ounce, for pitching heavy cover. With a zoom super chunk. Run a tooth pick across the top of the chunk right were the hook goes through. The chunk wont fly off. I also put a rattle in the chunk.
  11. Make sure you have both fishing licenses.
  12. Nothing? Oh well Ill take a blind shot. You can sometimes see through the bull on their sites.
  13. Upon retirement which will be soon I'm looking forward to start getting into some of that. Cant wait, my new boats originally a Back-country/ Lake and bay hull suited for this. cant wait till its done.
  14. In going up at the end of April, I d like to tie into a big Red.
  15. I was rooting for the Florida guy, good job Chris.
  16. I think you had a bad guide, like already mentioned the lake isn't crazy low yet and if he doesn't know his way around at this or any level hes no guide.
  17. I hate not haveing a boat, I cant stand this. Put a deposit down on a Big O yesterday. *oragnizes tackle for the 5th time*
  18. For serious bass fishing anywhere between Kissimmee and Okeechobee, this leads acces to about 6 of the best bass fisheries in the state if not the world. By boat that is, if your planning your life around moving to bass fishing areas my guess is youll own a boat whithin a year/
  19. Thanks guys. The dealer who also sells several other brands told me after visiting the factory he was very impressed with the work going into the hull, he claims they are an unbelievable boat.
  20. Im looking at the 921 but am test driving the 721.
  21. Its now down to a Phoenix, Stratos Champion 210 Elite or a Big O Thanks for all the concern and kind words guys. I have to admit Iv spent a lot of time on that lake and it shook me up thinking about all the times Iv been out in the middle and stopped to tie something don while taking waves over the back, if that happened in the middle I would have been toast. You're on your own in that Lake trust me.
  22. I would jump on this in a minute Lee, in fact I'm going to be up there. But unfortunately I'm test riding a Phoenix on Toho that day.
  23. I'm considering one, I test drive it in 2 weeks. Main concern is rough water handling. That or a Stratos 210 Elite or Bass Cat Jag, are tied for a close second, very close.
  24. Today should be interesting, The temps have dropped 30 degrees.
