  1. They're killing them up there. And I'm one week away from getting my boat two to be in the water by the time I get it rigged. I missed my favorite time of year, but my close second is summer. Sneak peak
  2. Theres tons of places to stay, I spoke with Tony hes doing his best to get it more organized this year. I know a couple of guys are fishing the Extreme on the same day, hes trying to check if they can fish both, the weigh ins at the same location. so that shouldn't be a problem they do it all the time at Toho. My Buddy ( a retired LEO) lives up there on the west side of the lake, hes going to have a full house that weekend.
  3. Don't forget we are in a transitional period right now, the fish are getting accustomed to the hotter temps, the blue gill are bedding. Lots of variables, keep at it and they'll come around. And keep that Zara Spook handy.
  4. Thanks Fishin Cowgirl, Its past the deadline the you think we can still send it in.
  5. I have to defend my Gold.
  6. Yes they are at TOHO, in fact I was just trying to find the guys number thats running it but not having any luck.
  7. Hire a guide, it'll be the best time and money you saved.
  8. Man I wish they had that when I was in High School, I may have made it past 10 grade. Good Job
  9. I'm with Bocabasser in the summer when things slow down out there I used to go to the 12 and 13 inch worms, it ruled out the dinks and and produced monster sacks.
  10. I fished Seminole and Talquin. Talquin a great lake, scenic and productive.
  11. Hard to tell in pictures, like already mentioned its a nice fish, good catch. .
  12. The markers are marked. The cuts start about a 1/4 mile south of Clewiston. Once your there you can ease out the cuts into the lake via trolling motor, and go as far as you can with the trolling motor. The lake at this level is treacherous because a lot of stuff is just hidden by being slightly submerged. Good luck.
  13. I use mono for top water and spinner baits and traps. IMO:Floro sinks to fast, you don't want to use it on top water, and for reaction bites like traps and spinner baits I feel more confidant with mono, Iv broken off with floro to many times. Pitch with floro Cast worms & sinkos with floro Flip with braid Frog with braid Swim jig braid
  14. Not a good time to be ventureing out in the lake with a new boat right now , the channal and rim ditch is loaded with fish pouring in off that lake, your best bet would be to go to mile marker 92 and fish the cuts south of Clewiston. Traps, worms off the edge coming from the lake. Jjust imagine the canal bank continueing across the opening and slowly drag baits out toward the canal.
  15. Years ago I used to put my 18ft Pro Craft in that canal I just about could get in and out on the dirt ramp by the farm entrance. I never saw another boat on there and I had several good days in there, I found it best when the water was high in all the other canals, I also used to put in on 27 north of the county line at Browns Farm. Thats another canal accessible by foot just cross one of those bridges and walk along the canal. I sold the Procraft in 91 jus to give you an idea how long ago that was.
  16. Theres a limited area of shore fishing at Holiday its not really a park its just a boat ramp. Along US27 may be your best bet, north of Sawgrass (595), there's plenty of places to reach the canal all the way up to the county line, then as mentioned above the canal that runs west to the Holy lands off 27 and this is accessible and very under fished.
  17. My buddy said he must have had his foot or a tackle bag on the floor trim button and trimmed up not realizing it. Can happen to anybody. I tore a lower unit completely off in one shot like it was cut off by Darth Vaders saber. Iv stuck my boat too many times to remember. Before GPS's it was a crap shoot. And most recently sunk one. Nothing happens to you if you sit on the couch.
  18. It was actually a Broward officer who assisted him, but hey anyone can run a boat up on shore you aint nothing till you sink one out there.
  19. My buddy called me yesterday and needed a phone number of a guy that tows people in off Okeechobee. He said he was flagged down by some dude who went off the channel by the marker and ran high and dry. He said they tried to help he guy but couldn't budge the boat. From what he was explaining it was just outside the locks coming right into the rim ditch. I told him him all the hose dragger's are out there for their tournament it had to be one of them.
  20. Yes I fished that a couple of years ago, well run tournament.
  21. BINGO!!! Do the foundation savers let police in or is it just FF?
  22. Hallandale is on the coast neighboring my city, there’s absolute nowhere to freshwater fish in this city and is about void of any saltwater ramps. Bringing a boat there would be a complete waist of time trust me on this. Parking in the condos are a mess and trailoring a boat would be a nightmare. East of 95 down here is mostly clogged with homes, Hollywood has great ocean access ramps but no freshwater except for a few small lakes located in county parks.
  23. WOW, sad, RIP
  24. Ill relay this to my buddy up there, I'm sure he'll attend if hes in town. He was a Navy Vet.
  25. The King of The Glades is dead, his name was Pat Fitzsimmons.
