  1. I scream like a 10 year old girl around snakes, gators don't bother me.
  2. I hooked about a 9 footer on the tail yesterday for about 2 seconds I thought i had a hawg then it just turns into a led weight moving away and pulling the boat.
  3. If you caught 2 4lb smallies I wouldn't change a thing on the present presentation. Try to imagine a crawdad popping along the rocks, if that don't work swim it back.
  4. Good deal but its not letting me check out. Says its an untrusted site. Never mind got it, thanks nice tip.
  5. Yes sir, and a side note, I wouldn't keep any fish in the Tin House Cove area for about a month or two.
  6. Don't eat spinach salad and a big bowl of fruit the night before a fishing trip.
  7. Thanks Guys I appreciate the kind words.
  8. 32 years on the job is enough, today's my last day. If you see me on the Big O in a Big O come say high, most of my fishing will be during the week unless I'm fishing a tournament. Ill be going back and forth for about another year then I'm heading up to Okeechobee full time. I'm thinking about 4 days a week of fishing for now, hows that sound ? Gar-Tracker
  9. November will be great, if we get a little more water the fish will be grouping up and moving in. He brought Grisby out there a few years back, you better know where your going or it could be disastrous.
  10. Man this club fishes a ton of boats, they fished out of the north end this week I could hardly get out of the basin at Scott driver. Anyone fish it? Looks like they go all over. http://crackerboys.net/
  11. Feeding any wildlife is wrong and does more damage then one would think.
  12. Sounds like a blast.
  13. I was heading to the lake years back and it was before they put the 710 Sunpass lane in so I used to go to PGA an then west to 710. A little kid was climbing over the fence that boarders PGA Blvd where that Pad filled canal leads to the course. About a half a mile west of the Turnpike. He had a stringer of bass in one hand and a rod ion the other, they went about 25 lbs, with a couple of 5s and one that looked about 7. he was running like he just hopped over a prison fence,
  14. 13 pounds d**n I had a nice sack up north both Fri and Sat. Those south Tourneys are hard for me to fish keeping my boat up north, but retiring Aug 1 so I may be able to fit a few in.
  15. Supposedly another Storm sunk out of Clewiston this weekend. A guy lent his boat to someone and they weren't used to a Storms particular eccentricity's and took a few back washes and went down. The older ones had that flaw for taking in water over the back. Apparently he just got the boat redone. Personally my feelings are that when these boats were built back in the early 80s they were designed for 150 and 200 horse engines that were much lighter then today's engines, add a power pole or talon with the brackets and your down to ground zero. At least that's what I noticed in mine, I did what I did that day a thousand times over the years, not until I put all the new toys and engines did I have this results. I don't care what anyone says iv been in this game for 40 years till one of the best rough water boats on the water. Glad no one was hurt.
  16. That ramp drives me nuts, they park in the loading area an sit and BS but if they don't leave you cant get in, I don't understand the line of thinking in that set up.
  17. My thoughts exactly, I love the summer low water conditions I catch more fish then any time of year. But its all good. Nice bag.
  18. JUST IN!! The water level has come up covering all the hydrilla and the trap bite is insane.
  19. Just check the level and look at the lake level and difference. It says 4 and its 2 you subtract that all around.
  20. I was up there for the last 3 days, yesterday morning I found some trap fish that were unbelievable, its hard to beat that. I sat there and wore them out. You're right those open water fish fight like mad. Be careful guys that lakes still low, in fact its worse now because a lot of danger is out of view.
  21. Been there done that, not fun. The boat sticks on them like a suction cup.
  22. Sorry as much as i love the sport, pro fisherman are not athletes. Does being in shape help in certain aspects of the game yes, but all in all a fat guy with a bad back can compete at the highest level of the game. As for the OT I think it was nailed in the second post.
  23. Iv caught fish at high noon in the middle of August on top water, there's no rules etched in stone. Actually the 9 1/2 on the left I'm holding was caught on a toad in 90+ degree weather. However as a rule of thumb I would look for some deeper water holes in the pond or some hydrila to flip.
