I torched them up there Sunday on the north end. And I met and fished with that MickeyBalzz dude, very nice Cat. They where eating like mad due to the approaching front.

That scenario is a bit different because of the barges having the right of way in all situations and on a big waterway you have to factor that in. This was rendering aid. Then the director said we'll go by BASS rules which has a no exceptions. However my argument to that would be you cant compare a BASS event with hundreds of boats and spectators that would be around to a local 50 man tournament. That situation would never come up. I do admit I cut it too close but I knew what I needed to get back.

All though cutting it close is true again I don't feel its an issue if I didn't stop I would have made it. I knew what I needed to make it allowing for weather and or locks in one thing but you cant plan for something like this. What if I past and found later someone was having a heart attack or medical emergency. Thanks for the input.

Full story, I was heading for the weigh in and was flagged down by a boater I turned and went back stopping, he stated he was out of oil, realizing it wasn't a dire emergency and everyone was all right I gave him my number explained I have to go the weigh in and advised him to call me and Ill send him help if he hasn't received any by that time. The whole stop was about 5 minutes, I was 3 minutes late. It didn't matter in the money standings however its a trail and the 3 pounds cost me several places. Personally I feel none of the above is relevant, some one flags you done its morally irresponsible not to find out that n one needs medical attention and like my situation the least one should do is render assistance. How do the pros handle this, it doesn't seem like a sponsor would like a big wrapped boat passing a boat in distress..

I recently was penalized for being later to a weigh in after stopping for a boater in distress who flagged me down. The delay caused me to be late. How is this normally handled Iv been fishing tournaments for 30 years and have not run into this.

Great I'm heading up there this morning to pre fish for a Sat tourney at Toho, guess ill have company. Im gonna concentrate on Kissimmee for pre fishing.

One year Bass Busters rotated between Clewiston and Okee Tanti. I dont know why they stopped that, I guess it didn't work out for them.

Well spraying is what they have been doing on Okeechobee, for the last year a team of 5 air boats have been everywhere, north south east and west, the cat tails have taken over and they did a pretty good job of getting rid of a lot of them. However it does leave a bit of a mess with the dieing vegetation.

Scrape, Scrapping? I don't know. Dragging the bottom clean.

My buddy who lives off TOHO told me their pulling out all the garbage weed with theses big machines exposing all the sandy flats. The reach out and pull a big loads of alligator grass and matted crap and haul it off. They always manage that lake correctly, draw downs flats and vegetation maintenance. Hence the monsters it produces, plus it has some depth. I guess the nearby tourism helps with decisions on what lakes to take care of. Id love about a 1000 of those machines on Big O.

That was me, I was in my buddy's Big O not mine, we finished up there praying for a miracle that never came.

Sunday we caught a million dinks but no big fish. Saturday we came in 8th up north in the Christian Trail, should have went up there. Fred I had some nice fish over there but we never went over there because of what I found close to Okee Tanti, keep in mind that's a 100PM weigh in so you have to factor that in your plan, we made made a plan and stuck with it, it gave us 14lbs and 19 won. So we were a fish away. In retrospect in the KOG I should have ran up north did the same thing and would have had the time to finish over there. But my partner who was not my regular partner who I fish the Christian Trail with fished the BFL, he came in 40th but had a 6lber and his co angler had a 6lber and came in top 5 I think 2nd, so he wanted to stay south. Plus it was blowing a little in the AM and that was a haul, but it calmed down in the PM. He found a little cut that had thousands of fish in there with an occasional nice one, none Sunday Where you fishing Sunday? I saw a Blue Phoenix going towards the Clewiston Lock at around 230.

Im dropping the kids off at the pool as we speak getting ready to go the the Christian Trail. Boats everywhere, BFL, Christian Trail, King of Glades, FLW. Most boats Iv seen in a long time. Sorry I cant hook up Im fishing 2 tournaments today and King of The Glades tomorrow then I got to head back to the jungle on Monday. Weathers been great. little wind slight overcast moderate temps enjoy and be careful. Go eat at Shennagins Sports Pub, if you dont like the Burger Ill buy your dinner.
