  1. One year Bassbusters rotated between Oke Tanti and Clewiston I wish they continued that. I guess it didn't work out, I came in 4 that year and 3rd in the Classic. Good Times. Do they still keep track of the year standings?
  2. Ha!! Its all timing. I just always find them too long before the tournament. A week is a long time this time of on this lake. Rarely have I had fish hold that long. In fact that's why I hit them when fishing in advance, if it was the day before I would have shook these fish off..
  3. Of course I torch them. The Big O was on fire yesterday afternoon, I wasn't going to go but changed my mind and went out at about 1 for a couple of hours . 7 3/4. 2 Fives. a couple of 4s Headed out in a few when this fog clears.
  4. I went Speck fishing there about a thousand years ago, It was low at the time and i remember thinking it looked nice. We caught a mess of fish and hey tasted good. Signed: Mr. Useless Information
  5. I do that too only white, white aint right. Just a stupid little thing to help me remember. I just eye them up, If I'm dealing with ounces I'm usually not doing any good.
  6. Dude, no disrespect but i wouldn't leave the house if that was my old lady. Ahhh who am I kidding yes I would.
  7. Iv been fishing while drug tainted for years and find no side effects. Even my comprehension is excellent.
  8. I did better in that flipping hole after that front came in. The day it warmed up they slowed. Just sayin.
  9. I just bought the Mojo Bass flipping stick and I'm extremely impressed with the quality of their lower costing rods. I looked at the higher end ST> Croix s and there wasn't that much of a difference in the components especially not 100 more beans of a difference.
  10. Front moving in, rain, clouds, I guarantee their eating like Rosie Odonall.
  11. I rigged up a phone holder for photos on my boat using my pedestal, problem is I cant see my screen in the sunlight and the second problem is I haven't caught a picture worthy fish since I did it. Nice fish.
  12. HA!!! I cant say anything from the bags Iv been producing lately. Glad you guys had a good time.
  13. I don't think its a matter of the flipping bite being on or off, its just so much cover that their not as easy to find as years prior. Another problem is that many more people flip now then before so the covers getting blasted, all that banging around runs them out. The north ends water is beautiful so I don't think the waist water theory is it, the fish just haven't moved back to where they usually are yet. The difference between the water coming up this time as to before is that it never got completely dry like the first drought it just got real low, there was 5 inches of water for miles back allowing all that crap to grow. In the first low water the ground was exposed drying out all the weeds and vegetation, hence the great flats we had when it came back up. Droughts are a natural part of nature and they rejuvenate lakes.
  14. Man very tough up there. As you can see from the Pros bags only one good day and the rest very small bags in comparison. I fished up there Thursday and Friday and my tournament was Saturday. I had about 12 lbs Thursday, 15 Friday, and 7 on Saturday, my 3s turned into dinks. 15 lbs won our Toho Marine 1 Man on Saturday I love those Pros there living the dream but Im glad Ill have my lake back. If you notice none of the South Florida guys did any good, Mcmillian, Tharp had 1 good day but bombed., Kenny. The winners from Florida but up on the pan handle not the swamps. My theory lots of changes, waters dropping and the nights have still been real cold, fronts, lots of areas to hide their just not bunched up in mats like most years. My prediction when the weather starts to become more stable we'll be waxing them up here.
  15. Yes, right in the hole. Go there they're in there solid. He did exactly what I did moved in shallow. No the Elite 1 man the week before, I missed 2 fish that would put me in the top 5
  16. Lee did you see where that dude won the Southern. Don't ask, I'm even sicker now, that tourney will haunt me for years to come.
  17. I had after front blues, lock jawed fish for 2 days, the pros will get a warming trend and they'll eat like mad this week. I have a tourney Saturday another front will probably hit.
  18. Have you checked the St Cloud area by Toho, there's enough city there for everyone with the states finest chain of lakes as well. By buddy retired there from south Florida and loves it.
  19. I just fished a tournament up there everyone's running to Kissimmee. Including me.
  20. I'm sitting on my couch instead of pre fishing. Cold, rainy, windy. Maybe later today if it clears up.
  21. Any Florida body of fresh water deeper the 5 feet and as big as a half of football field has fish in it. It was always been notorious for car breaks and trailer thefts, but I haven't been down there in years, maybe things have gotten better. Good luck with that .....pal.
  22. I used to fish there in the early 80s when I lived in Gainesville, unbelievable fishery. Biggest Bream I ever seen in my life.
  23. Lots of fish, no truck or trailer upon return, or at the least broken windows.
  24. Funny you mention them I picked up 2 last weekend and caught fish on them. Nice hook and nice stiff weed guard. I liked them.
  25. I dont think it starts till next week, it may bounce back by then.
