Surprised that no one is using Yo Zuri Hybrid

G means Green as the rod color

I work at night and I use a headlamp 6 to 7 days a week all night long. I have had the cheap Energizers that you can buy at Home Depot and they are ok lights but the bands suck big time. The bands are poor quality and you will find yourself running out of adjustment because they will soon lose their elasticity. I have had Princeton Tec Quad Tacticals and they are great at first and they also have different colored lenses that slide over the white light. For some reason, they didnt last very long after getting wet. Petzl makes a top quality headlamp. Right now, I wear a Petzl Pixa 3. It's a first class light but it is big and bulky and it does not come with different colored lenses. If I wanted a headlamp with different colored lenses, I would get the Petzl Tactikka XP. When I get the cash, I will be getting a Surefire Maximus Vision Rechargeable. Petzl Tactikka XP

The last person that I saw fishing with a spinning reel on top of the rod was an older lady. My first thought was that someone set her up like that to get some laughs. If I wasn't driving, I would have showed her the correct way.

When i was a kid, I would throw Bowfin AKA Mudfish on the bank. As an adult, I would never do it again.

I broke a Loomis Carolina Rig rod by holding the almost verticle and for some idiotic reason, I pulled down on the end of line and the tip snapped about 5 inches from the top. I ended up selling the broken rod on ebay.

We were at a red light and actually I was surprised to even see the baitcaster. They are not that common around here.

I saw this today while driving around. It's kinda hard to see but there is a problem with one of the combos.

I love shopping with other peoples money and since you said money is not a concern, I would look at a G-Loomis MBR843GLX and a Shimano Antares HG.

When I throw 3/4oz spinnerbaits, T Rigs with at least a 1/4oz Tungsten bullet weight and a Big EZ on a weighted hook, I use a Loomis MBR844. That is a 7' H/F. A Big EZ is a big bait and IIRC, it is around 1oz with a 1/8oz weighted hook.

I have been lucky in that I have never been hit with the import tax (import penalty). Japan Tackle charges me $20.00 and Japan Lure Shop charges around $14.00 USD to ship to Florida. Shipping is around 4 or 5 days to the U. S.

Can you import from Japan? If so, have you ever considered buying JDM reels (Japanese Domestic Market)? Japan Lure Shop. Com has new Shimano Aldebaran MG7's for under $300.00 USD. I have bought a couple of reels from them recently and everything on their end went smooth. BTW, the Aldebaran MG7 is basically the same as the Core 50.

Most of my reels are on the heavier side and all of the rods that I use are lightweight IMHO. To be honest, an 8 oz reel on a lightweight rod is something I don't even think about. Maybe if I fished for a living I would think about it, but I have never understood or cared about how a combo balances.

I have a feeling that you would never drop 2-3 grand on new rods. My question to you is..............................why does it bother you if others drop 2-3 grand on new rods?

The old Bantams were fine reels in their day and you can find ones on ebay that are in great shape and perfect working order but IMHO, and the opinions of very experienced reel techs, due to parts availability and other reasons, they should be set aside and admired for what they were.

I have never bought a rod from ALF but I will eventually. I think Option 2 is pretty kick butt on their part. Option 2: Didn't Buy your G. Loomis rods from ALFC but still want to Receive Warranty Rod Replacement at No ChargeOK, let's say you didn't buy your broken G. Loomis rod from American Legacy Fishing Co. (shame on you!) and you would still like to get it replaced at zero cost. We can handle that. Just buy any new G. Loomis rod at the same time you request a Free warranty replacement for the broken G. Loomis rod. Buy a new G. Loomis rod and we'll also replace the broken G. Loomis rod no charge.

The reel is used. He started a Thread about how he just bought the reel on eBay and he couldn't wait to get it. Sounds like you may have bought a lemon. Then again, there was a Quantum Thread, I think it was last week or so, where DVT posted that he thinks that Quantum is the best of the worst! I got a chuckle out of that. LOL

A lot of people prefer a shorter rear handle for top water. I know that I do. I also find a long rod to be awkward unless I am using it tip up.

Let me see if I got this right. The man was clearly set up and he said some things (in private) that most people find offensive and for that....the NBA is going to try and steal his team. I sometimes throw them with the GLX casting version of the same rod so the answer is yes.
