  2. I use everything from a Conquest 50/MBR782, Conquest 50/NRX802, Conquest 50/MBR783, Antares AR/MBR843, Antares HG/MBR843 and a mix of FC or braid but from now on, it's all braid.
  3. IMHO, If the Mudfish bite is on, then you didn't get skunked because I'd be happy catching Mudfish all day!
  4. Shimano Japan's Website says 84MM. http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/search?price_min=&price_max=&fs1=&fs2=&fs3=&fs4=&pcat1=1&pcat2=12&pcat3=&pcat4=&series=&prov=&rtn=&page=2
  5. Thought so. Thanks!
  6. Buy'em used and your bang for the buck is excellent! I am content with the IMX's. I have some GLX's and a couple of NRX's but I could be content with the old style IMX's.
  7. I have looked at Shimano Japan's website and I noticed that they do have some BFS rods. Are they available here or are you buying from overseas?
  8. Thanks Dwight! I will be trying braid with my 802 the next that I use it.
  9. I have never used any braid lower than 30# and 30 is easy to cast. Thanks
  10. Line capacity issues with using a Conquest 50 for inshore fishing and the ability to cast lighter weight lures better with braid than with FC.I was more interested in the braid with recoils than with sensitivity.
  11. Thank you for the correction.

  13. Yokohama. Japan has Prefectures. I believe a Percecture is a district that is within a City. If you go to the Japan EMS Site and enter your Tracking #, it will tell you the Perfecture that it was shipped from.
  14. I just bought the same spool for my XT1000 and it's going on a Loomis CR721.
  15. Hootie, You should have no problems with Japan Tackle and you will have to sign for it.
  16. I don't ever remember any post on this forum where people are putting down or looking down on a person that has only one rod or uses only one rod. I have posted that when I was a kid, I only had one combo, and back then, I referred to it as my rod and reel. If you only have one rod and reel, no one is bothered by it.
  17. Yes! The XT1000 is a sweet little reel that's for sure. If you haven't read it, check out the Tackle Tour review of the XT1000. If you don't know your way around TT, from their homepage, click on review archives and scroll to the bottom where the JDM gear is.
  18. Is the click plate installed upside down?
  19. It's smoother. When I turn the handle on my XT1000 and then my CU50E, the XT1000 has a feeling of smoothness and connectivity that the CU50E doesn't have.
  20. The XT1000 is a better reel out of the box than the CU50E so maybe the new Scorpion will be to. I wouldn't count on it because the XT1000 is also a better reel out of the box than the Scorpion XT1500's. Hootie, one of the reasons to buy a JDM reel is it's about owning the JDM version of its USDM counterpart. Even it they are identical in appearance, the Scorpion is JDM and the Curado is not. If that doesn't matter to you, buy the Curado.
  21. Anybody ever fish John Chestnut Sr. Park in Palm Harbor? That is the only place that I fish. It's all covered up in alge now except the big pond part. I caught 5 at the park last week on a mixture of Flukes and Yum Dingers.
