I have the Powell 703CB Glass rod and it handles traps up to 1/2 oz just fine rippin em out of hydrilla. It does get overpowered by 3/4 oz traps though. I would think the 753 would be similiar.
The thread title is "Opinions on Mislabeling", not "Opinions on Deeply Discounted Items".
Obviously if the item was just deeply discounted, then heck yea, buy away. But apparently Clary had a notion that the item was "mislabeled", not "discounted".
Its really not smart running without a wp guage anytime. You never know if you have sand in the system and its not getting enough water. Just because its peeing doesnt mean its getting enough wp.
I would certainly change the voltage gauge for a wp gauge.
I do not believe that by taking advantage of a mismarked item is stealing, but I do believe that it is unethical. Todays ethics have become so different from one person to the next its ridiculous. There is an absolute that we will one day be accountable for. Im pretty sure I read about some guy in some book that said that it is not only good enough for your actions to follow the law, but also your heart to.
What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong. In this case, Clary, according to my ethics I believe you were wrong. You KNEW the price was wrong and took advantage of it. Do you want to be taken advantage of for every mistake you make? I know I sure dont.

How do you know your targeting ledges and humps in 4-8 fow off of the bank?
My favorite right now is working a Pointer through sparse grass on Toledo Bend in 8 fow on mainlake humps. It only produced 317 fish my last 5 outings.
8.5/10
I have that same rod and while I like it, it seems to be a bit tip heavy to me. Now the Core on the other hand...Im drooling over that thing. Yozuri Hybrid is some great line too.
My Combo:
Powell Endurance 714C
Pflueger President
20lb Invizx
I put a TM battery in my boat earlier this year and hooked up my charging system (it runs off the motor) backwards. It back fed into the motor and fried my voltage regulators, ECU, and wiring harness. Now im having to replace a coil and I think its probably from the same problem.
I dont own either (I would take both ), but I have fished out of boats with powerpoles and a boat with a talon. The Powerpole was much quieter and smoother as it wnet down wereas the Talon seemed to be rough and make a little noise. Both did their jobs though. If it were me, I would buy the powerpole.
I have an the 7' MH/F Avid, Falcon Cara, and Falcon Lowrider. The Cara is the most sensitive of the bunch and it balances the best. The Avid is a close second in sensitivity, but it is tip heavy. The rest are way behind.
You may be able to find a Curado E7 for that price if you look around, but if not, you cant go wrong with the PQ. Its a great reel that performs well above its price point.
