  1. Yea, looks to be close to pool. Water was a little more stained than it was 3 weeks ago.
  2. Cane river in Natchitoches? If so, I had a buddy up there today. Water is high, muddy, and 47 degrees...good luck is all I can say lol
  3. Fishing was tough today. Had 308 boats show up for basschamps. I came in 13th with 16.12lbs. Should have had a little more, but that's fishing. Caught my fish deep. Not too bad for only my 3rd time to ever fish Rayburn lol
  4. This time of year your either going to be a hero or zero. The lake will turn on just as fast as it will turn off. The key is to keep fishing it!
  5. Good to know Shaneus. Thanks. I plan on sticking to it and hoping it produces a couple big bites
  6. I'm planning on being at the unofficial road trip in March, hope to meet a few of y'all as we'll!
  7. Fishing Basschamps next weekend so this week is "off limits" for all participants.
  8. Wouldn't mind getting a report. The lake goes off limits for me Monday.
  9. Duo realis makes a great jerkbait!
  10. Yea I was close to the bridge. 2 fish were by bushes and 2 were in hydrilla.
  11. Pm sent. You shouldn't have to leave six mile, unless you just want to. Grass points, grass points, and more grass points!
  12. I own 4 endurance series, 3 regular max series, and 4 of the TW exclusive max series. Love them all! I own st. Cross, dobyns, Shimano, phenix, and falcon rods too, but seem to always pick up my powells first.
  13. I went today...sucked it up. 4 fish that weighed 11lbs. Fished deep most of the day with no success, moved up to 10ft and caught all four fish.
  14. Happy New Years to y'all too! I'm hoping to get up to Rayburn Monday and freeze my butt of! Be back on Toledo after the 17th.
  15. I generally underestimate fish. I have surprised even myself at weighins many times, thinking I had x amount of weight when in reality I had x+3lbs of weight. Heck, the little BR tournament I put on on the 4th of July on Toledo Bend I though my big bass was 5 or 5 and a half. Ended up going 7 on the weighin scale.
  16. Holler at me if you fish one of the east division tournaments. I should be able to fish all four.
  17. Can't go wrong with any of them. The new Garmins look great along with the Raymarine. I use Humminbird. I like the Humminbird SI better than Lowrance and the mapping is WAY better IMO. Lowrance has better sonar.
  18. I'm a pro in my own mind, but that's about it!! Lol!! I'm gonna get my butt handed to me in Basschamps this year, but gotta start somewhere. SkeeterDon, are you fishing basschamps this year?
  19. Rayburn definitely fishes shallower than Toledo, but don't think all fish are shallow. Majority of tournament, emits are own out deep still from what I gather. Get a good SI graph and start graphing looking for piles and channel swings.
  20. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have 18lbs everyday! Lol. It was just really slow after the first 30 minutes. Only 2 fish in the last 7 hours
  21. We'll guys, not much to report. Fished from the dam to housen. Caught 12 fish, 10 coming in the first 30 minutes of the day. Most fish were in the 3-4lb range. All solid fish, but no real good ones. Top 5 would have went about 18lbs. Caught the, on grass points in 15ft of water throwing moving baits. Got 2 bites on a Crig, but missed both.
  22. Heading up there with a buddy in the am. Will give a report tomorrow night.
  23. It's according to how you like to fish. If you like fishing banks with spinnerbaits, senkos, ect, I would say spend some time up around blue lake and San Patricio. If you like fishing offshore grass (which is what I'd do) spend time in housen.
  24. Still haven't got a boat here. My boat should be ready this week so I can get back up there Friday!
  25. I launched at cassel boykins
