  1. Atleast your there. I stayed close by the house and fished Saline/Larto and stunk it up!
  2. Carlson Marine is the mechanic your looking for. He is absolutely the best I've used!
  3. Welcome! I haven't been in Lanan in a long time, but I'd imagine most fish up here should be on points and creek channel swings.
  4. I'm hoping to make a trip up there Friday. I'll know for sure tomorrow.
  5. I struggled. Caught 10 fish, best five might have been 14lbs. I went north of patroon for the first time ever and struggled bad. Never caught a fish until the last hour when I came back down to lowes just so I wouldn't zero lol. Caught 10 pretty quick and left. Learned my lesson...expand on what I know, don't go fishing completely new water. Martinez is a different world than lowes south.
  6. I'll be in lowes some, but then plan on headingorth to learn some stuff on the river channel north of patroon.
  7. Ill be there tomorrow! Where do you plan on fishing?
  8. I believe it has to do with water levels and grass. The past 5 years have been dominated by the south, but if you look, this year since the water has come back up the north end has been every bit as productive if not better. The 38lb stringer from this past Sunday was caught north and I know that basschamps was won north. The south end has better habitat for big fish with deeper water and deeper grass, but don't count out the north end when the water is up.
  9. No doubt in my mind there quite a few state records swimming around in Toledo. My buddy works for LDWF and they shocked up an 18lb bass on Sibley lake a few years ago. Those fish are just so smart that we may never see them.
  10. My three fish over 10lbs came on: 1. Alabama rig 2. 10xd 3. Grande bass rattlesnake I've caught 100's of fish over 7lbs. Big crankbaits, jigs/10-12" worms, and the bama rig have caught the vast majority of those.
  11. I'm in Pineville
  12. No it's not! But lake master was on the lake about 2 months ago so I'm assuming it will be in HD soon.
  13. I have Humminbird units and use lake master chips.
  14. YES! But it shouldn't cost you $20. I use the slender pointer 112 a lot and can usually find em for closer to $15.
  15. Plastics fished very slow! If you catch one, you better fish that area thoroughly.
  16. Well just got back from Toledo. Fished 14 hours Friday and 12 hours today and I'm feeling it lol. Caught 86 fish. Top 5 was 22lbs yesterday and 19lbs today. Fish are everywhere from 1-30 ft.
  17. Berkley did a study awhile back and plastic craws with zero appendages got the most bites. One appendage came in second and 2 appendages got the least. Interesting...
  18. Wish I was going to be there, but I won't make it. I ought it was Saturday, but once I realized it's on Sunday I'm out. I'm a pastor at a church, so Sundays are pretty much off limits.
  19. Lol, can't believe those guys thought I was serious!
  20. Thought so! Wallace and Brandon had a good day too, Brandon caught their big fish, but I think Wallace whipped him the rest of the day! Lol!!
  21. Apparently so. I was hoping for one good one on a frog early, but could only catch 2-3lb fish.
  22. Yep. Caught some frog fish early, but culled all of that off of one ledge.
  23. I haven't been out there in years, but false river is pretty wide open to run but the fishing flat out sucks for the most part.
  24. I use Jewel baits 3/4 oz fb jigs on Toledo Bend and have caught 1000's of fish one me with no hookup problems...
