  1. It's a tournament circuit that has 4 divisions. I fish the East Texas division. We fish Rayburn twice and Toledo twice. You can go to basschamps.com to learn more about it. $20k guaranteed first place at each event.
  2. Most of the guys who got checks were flipping, but couldn't get bit doing that. I caught about 15 fish on a crankbait, just no size.
  3. Fished Champs yesterday. Didn't weigh my fish but they were somewhere around 10-11lbs. It was a struggle for most people. 307 boats and it only took 21lbs to win. We flipped bushed for hours with very little to show for it. Ended up backing out to 9ft and caught quite a few males on a dt10. All my deep stuff was shot with the muddy water.
  4. As much as I love to fish deep, I'm afraid it will be wasting time. The current being pulled right now screws up the deep fish from my experience. Fish that aren't use to current don't like to fight it. Anytime water rises as fast as it has, fish push up shallow. I'm sure there will still be some deeper fish, but IMO, majority will be pushed up.
  5. I'd stay shallow flipping tight to brush.
  6. I'm debating on fishing champs this weekend. Water is gonna be high and muddy, not my thing for sure! Anybody else gonna be out there?
  7. Well, maybe the lake will get right this fall. I hate high water!
  8. I found a lot of deep fish today but couldn't hardly get um to fire up. Caught 10, but found one school with probably 75 fish in it. It was a funny bite, they would knock the fire out of a jig or a dropshot but wouldn't hold onto it. I did go shallow for an hour and look around. Saw a lot of cruisers, but nothing locked on yet.
  9. Apparently I need to get on the ball and get a place in six mile?.
  10. Someone help this guy out! I would love to captain y'all, unfortunately I have prior family obligations this weekend. Good luck finding someone.
  11. Well, I got scared of the forecasted 15-20 mph winds so I fished Cane River instead. Put 20 in the boat and missed several more. Sure wish I could have been on Toledo! I'm sure they were biting good today!!
  12. Got the boat hooked up and ready to brave the winds and waves tomorrow!
  13. Glade creek is always good this time of year. Crankbaits on the old road beds usually produce then pitch a grandebass rattlesnake on wood or old pad stems.
  14. Awesome fish! Hard to believe fish are already on beds down south, but with the warm winter and full moon it makes sense. Congrats on the DD!
  15. Navionics Web app
  16. Wiggle wart, jerkbait, biffle hard head should do the trick
  17. Hi 6Mile-Skeeter. Welcome to the boards!
  18. My dad and I fished champs yesterday too. I knew it was going to be a tough one for us as a lot of fish have moved shallow, but we went down swinging for the fence out deep. Caught a few fish, but never got on much size. I did break off a good one on a jig and dropped a 3 at the boat. Just wasn't my day lol.
  19. I wish the trap tournament was on a Saturday, then I'd fish it. I work at a church, so kinda hard for me to fish on Sunday's lol.
  20. I'm hoping to make it up for a day or two to meet everyone. I'll have to see what I have going on that week. Is Felix coming again?
  21. His son Brian Martin is selling them now. Contact him on Facebook.
  22. I caught 7 yesterday and 5 today. Not looking good...
  23. I'll be there Friday and Saturday!
  24. I don't know what's going on out there, but apparently it stunk everywhere! I fished from lowes to housen today.
