  1. I fished basschamps on Rayburn today. Finished 10th out of 397 boats with 21.28lbs. I fished deep, but most of the checks were caught shallow. I never found a single school of fish all day. I had to just slow down and methodically fish each spot to pick up a fish or two, only got 6 bites all day.
  2. Honestly, I'd fish shallow this weekend. Warming temps and good grass means most bass will be up there. Chatterbait and traps
  3. I could do the 17th.
  4. RW, I'd be glad to take you one of those days, but as for guides, Darold Gleason, Zack Gagnard, and Jason Courville would be at the top of my list
  5. yep. I agree with Catt 100%. Come with an open mind because the whole lake is fair game that time of year. Do what your best at and I promise it'll work out just fine for you.
  6. Don't count out fishing deep. ThIs past year on march 25th I caught well over 100 fish and had numerous 4-7lbers all out in 20-25ft.
  7. Let me know if you need some help. I've taken a few guys out to teach them what to look for.
  8. It was cold on the water today! First time I've fished in snow
  9. There aren't a lot of fish offshore right now due to high water temps. You'd be better off fishing shallow grass right now on Rayburn.
  10. Finally got back on Rayburn today. Fished from 10-5. Caught 31. Top 5 a little over 20lbs. Also dropped 3 good fish. One felt like a monster, but wrapped me in a pile and couldn't get her to swim out. All fish were caught from 12-25ft.
  11. I fished Rayburn from 10-5. Caught 31.
  12. Docks are always good this time of year.
  13. I saw some of those shad too in Veach. I I ended up finishing 5th in the Keith Combs tournament today with 24.05lbs. Had 30lbs on, but lost a 7 at the boat and had another huge fish break me off. Fish are scattered everywhere, but all my weight came deep.
  14. I'll be there tomorrow thru Saturday.
  15. It would be a lot faster if I didn't have to follow those dang boat lanes?
  16. It won't be a bad run this weekend as the forecast is only showing a 4 mph wind. I can be at the mouth of housen from cypress bend in about 10 min
  17. Good luck in the BFLs next year Shane. I'm debating on fishing them or the Ram series.
  18. Awesome pic June-bug. I love finding them like that!
  19. Just stay in the boat lanes and you will be fine
  20. Fished a Basscat regional Saturday. Found some good fish Friday, caught about 18lbs without hitting them hard. I knew the potential was there, but was worried what the front would do to them. Ended up with 15.5lbs Saturday and ended up in 4th. Got a check, but failed to make the national championship. The fish changed completely on Saturday. They suspended and I had to switch things up to catch them. Friday they ate a shakyhead, but Friday I had to switch to a jerkbait.
  21. Sorry for the late report, but I fished last Friday and Saturday. Caught 21 Friday and 18 Saturday. Couldn't find much size. Had one over 3lbs on Friday and a 4 and 2 3's Saturday. Still found plenty of fish, just couldn't hardly make them bite.
  22. I saw your report on Facebook red. Congrats on a great day
