I'd buy that DC if you have the opportunity, especially if most won't be getting them in stock until late October.
If you don't like it you could easily unload it on the secondary market.
I'm not losing sleep over it but yeah, the wait for this one is tougher than usual. I've never tried a DC reel so the curiosity is really what has me excited.
Good luck! The seller on ebay never accepted my paypal payment so I went in and cancelled the transaction. I saw yesterday there were tons of them from different sellers at that same price point....
Same here unfortunately. I think I'm going to try to hit a local pond tomorrow afternoon to do some bank fishing as the weather is only calling for 20% chance of rain and air temps in the 60's. I have a new to me kayak and with all this rain I don't know if I'll ever get it out on the water.
I try my best to buy everything from a locally owned place and most of the time I can get much better deals than anywhere online or Cabelas/Sportsmans/DSG. I will admit I'll buy some Gammys at Wal Mart or if they have some deals too good to pass up.
Just another heads up to check the Wal Mart clearance aisle. (I found these on the almost opposite end from the sporting goods section) I picked up a bunch of Berkely square bill and "wild thang" crankbaits for $1.50 each. I've never used them and don't know if they're any good but for that price I couldn't resist.
It's funny when I was reading this reply I thought "sounds familiar"
Then I looked and saw your location! Hello from another Lexingtonian. I hope this rain/snow stops soon. I've got a new kayak and ready to fish.
welcome from a fellow Kentuckian! How's Lake Linville been treating you? I've always wanted to try it. I'm from Lexington and have been mainly fishing Cedar Creek, the secret there this time of year are soft plastics, T-rigged, or a spinnerbait in the early morning.
