  1. St. Croix Legend Glass 610 MM
  2. I use mono on some of my setups and have for years. So, I have to ask, what do you all think the best mono is out there?
  3. I'll have to agree, as a 5" Senko with a standard 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook is fairly heavy.
  4. Main reason for me is I hate tying knots so one knot for me. Other main reason is most of my bottom contact rods have micro guides and I hate the feel and sound of slapping leader knots.
  5. Nice, please update us when you get them. I'm thinking of replacing my regular SLX reels soon and might have to try the XT or MGL.
  6. I've not used either but with the lures you're planning on throwing I think you'll be happy with the XT. Use the extra $25 for some line.
  7. Nice, I may do this to my SLX reels. Where did you get the bearings? I've never changed them out myself, any tips or tricks?
  8. Nice, please update us on your initial thoughts when you get them.
  9. If you get a reply please update the thread. I don't really care, as my examples have been fine. I'm just curious.
  10. Really? I got some on the last sale and can't tell a difference from my store bought LC 1.5's.
  11. I'll freely admit I'm bias but you can't go wrong with any of the below brand new reels. Some of those are at the max of your budget, others will leave you with some left over cash to buy line or lures because Bait Monkey. Curado DC Curado K Bantam MGL Chronarch MGL Curado 70
  12. Tough choice, but I'd go with a 70. I've never fished the MGL but that's a good price. To those who have how big of a difference did you see versus the regular SLX? I've got a few and they are great little reels so far. I love the smaller size over my Curado K's.
  13. Yep, it does on the link below, but the Bass Pro Spring Sale flyer doesn't say Booyah at all, it calls them "Excalibur square bill". I'm heading to Cabelas in a few and will update my findings. https://www.cabelas.com/product/fishing/hard-baits/crankbaits/pc/104793480/c/104732280/sc/104284080/booyah-xcs-squarebill/3526666.uts?slotId=0
  14. Might be the case at my store too, I didn't physically see them but wasn't looking. I'm just going by what it says online and whats in stock at my store. I'll run out there in a few hours and check. I'm still trying to confirm whether these are like the old Xcalibur cranks. The Spring Ad does say Excalibur not Xcalibur.
  15. Curious on this as well. My store doesn't stock the Curado DC model I want but they have it online.
  16. These are in stock locally at my Cabelas and I was there yesterday and hadn't seen this thread yet. I might go tomorrow at lunch and grab some at that price. So are these confirmed to be a replica of the Xcaliburs?
  17. Wow, I wonder how these compare to the OG.
  18. Mojo Bass or Dobyns Fury
  19. What's the current turn around time for clean and tune? Thanks
  20. Bam! Bringing the heat, lol.
  21. Yeah, guess I should have said it better. I'm sure it will handle those weights, I'm just used to throwing larger jigs with a heavy power rod. Thanks for all the help fellas, looks like their is no avoiding the Monkey as usual.
  22. Dobyns 734c in Fury or Sierra is a great option for an all purpose rod using all the lures you mentioned.
  23. Yeah, just afraid I'll need a longer length but maybe over thinking. I'll be mainly kayak fishing so no vertical fishing. Also, should I be looking to go with a Heavy rod for the size jigs? I know the Xtreme is rated to 1 oz. Just curious how it compares to Loomis 4 power rods.
  24. Sweet reel, I just can't do the red, haha.
