  1. I would have to say the Craw D'oeuvre and Texas-Rig Jig from PowerTeam Lures have become my go to baits. I am also loving the Finicky Tickler on a shakeyhead or drop shot. Great plastics!
  2. Agree to disagree I'm not bashing Powell by any means. I have a trap/ spook rod that I would have a hard time getting rid of for anything. My opinion is just that, an opinion. I probably shouldn't have rated it on the same level as a Savvy, but I don't think it is as good as the Champions. Just my 2 cents.
  3. I personally do not feel the Endurance is in the same league as the Champion lineup. It is more on par with the Savvy line of Dobyns rods. The Champions are fantastic rods for the money.
  4. PowerTeam Lures "Food Chain Tube" are the best I have found. They have very life like tentacles and come in all of the great colors. Great baits.
  5. Mine would also have to be Power Team Lures Food Chain Tubes. I used to be a Dry Creek guy, and they still make a great tube, but I just have more confidence in the Food Chain Tube. Great baits!
  6. Nice job Larry! I was on the largemouth pretty well myself. Mainly jigs and a few spinnerbait fish for me. Saturday was one of those special days for me. Biggest 5 for me was 23lbs or so with a 6lb largemouth to anchor my day. Go figure, I was just fun fishing! LOL. Wish I would have entered in one of the tournaments, but then I probably wouldn't have caught them. Hopefully they will still be around for the NW Bass tournament in a couple of weeks. My buddies caught a couple in the 3 and 4 pound range and several 3-4 lb. smallmouth. Great weekend for sure.
  7. I'll be over there with a few buddies just fun fishing Larry. I'll try to stay out of your way! We will be there from Thursday night to Monday. Staying at Blythe. Good luck.
  8. Don't hesitate. Great real at an awesome price. I am starting to switch all of my reels out to the Lexa's. It just gives me more money in my pocket to spend on other stuff.
  9. Yeah, last year's Bass Master Classic sale was only on select gear used in previous classics. Nothing I needed, go figure. Not very impressive at all. Hopefully they will go with a straight discount across the board. I need to do some shopping!
  10. 1 bait for me would be 5" Hula grub in color #176 on a 1/2 oz football head. I feel I can catch them in any body of water with this bait.
  11. I would spend just a little more and get a Lexa. They are getting quite the following. I handled one the other day and I was really impressed. I plan on buying a few of these to replace some older reels that need updating.
  12. You will probably have to order it. You have to be careful what you put in plastic. Make sure it is not water based. I would imagine the formula for plastic colorant is different from other paints as well.
  13. I believe now in our state, you can purchase a 2nd pole permit. Not sure of the price, but I don't think it is very much. It used to be 1 rod only. With the permit, I believe you can fish with both at the same time. This is probably more aimed toward bank fishermen and trollers. As far as how many rods you can have with you, there is no limit I believe. I know I carry 12 or so on my boat as do most bass fishermen I know.
  14. I don't get the big uproar either. In the grand scheme of things, is it really a big deal? This society we live in needs to get a grasp on things. Are you telling me it's not o.k. to have a beer sponsor an adult fishing series like th FLW, but I can turn on the t.v. at home with my young kids and get to watch several commercials about problems with erections! Come on people, get with the program.
