  1. Few fish from the past few weeks, lots between 4 and 6 lb recently but no real giants. I'll take it.
  2. Definite no on the VA license thing and every time I've been there in the past couple years there's someone checking licenses (on a horse lol)
  3. I live in Friendship Heights too, I'm the house near Mass ave with the bass boat.
  4. I live in Friendship Heights too, I'm the house near Mass ave with the bass boat.
  5. New trolling motor pedal was rubbing the side of the tray which stopped spot lock from working. Got it fixed and was able to spot lock.
  6. That's the only reason I'll ever fish it
  7. Think I saw you guys out there. I was the one who asked for the screwdriver. Crazy how clear the lake stayed.
  8. 7lb 9 ounce largemouth from the fourth of July.
  9. 15 pound 2 ounce snakehead from yesterday
  10. Does anyone here spend a lot of time on Rocky Gorge? I'm getting an Ultrex and I think being able to sit at the console and stare at my graph while moving down the lake could open the place up to me. Are there smallmouth? Is the largemouth fishing good?
  11. The super heavy rain caused it. Give it a week and a half to clear up. Southern stuff clears first, and the stuff closest tondc clears last.
  12. Water at the beach is gonna be way cleaner than it will be farther north. Water is still rising and the debris and mud will be full force North of Smallwood on Saturday. I'll be fishing the BFL Saturday and I'll be the first to tell you there's a really really good chance it's won at the beach. Doesn't hurt to say it here cause everyone knows it.
  13. Don't take a kayak or 14 foot boat on the river until late May or June and even then stay off the main river. Two guys died the other day trying to cross in a 15 foot boat.
  14. BFL is a tournament that anyone can enter. As a co angler, you will get paired with someone in a bass boat. You will get to fish one of the best fisheries in the country for 8 hours with a shot at some pretty good prize money.
  15. Bfl this Saturday on the Potomac is still looking for cos! Hurry up and register.
  16. @VADGIF might want to hear about this report!
  17. I was out that same day (Friday the 30th). I was fine but had to take some ibuprofen when I got home. Whatatscares me is the increased number of guys in little Jon boats out there on the main river. I think YouTube has something to do with it. In a glass boat you're gonna come back alive if you have some idea of what you're doing. In a little aluminum you're playing with your life. If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it!
  18. That's about what the main river looked like. There were some kids who took their Jon boat out early in the morning. Wind was no joke I hope they made it back ok.
  19. There's no gauge that does temp until the summer time. Anyways water temp can vary a lot on the water so you're best just using your graph.
  20. photos to upload Things were heating up Friday. 5-9 in the right hand, I'll need 5 for this BFL. Wind made it impossible to fish a lot of good stuff.
  21. Dam 4 for numbers Burke Lake for size
  22. Some nice scenery and fishy looking water out there.
  23. A lot of these spots get so packed because they're where the fish are. Trying to do something really different usually results in <15 pounds. Just the nature of the Potomac/most places with grass and heavy current.
  24. Probably had a horny toad on it. Night and day vs a plain skirt. Skips as easy as a senko on a spinning rod.
  25. Most people can't even cast 40 yards
