Did the previous owner remove any transducers or anything like that and not silicone the screw holes. You wouldn't believe how muck water can come thru 2 screw holes.

I guess it depends were you fish or what you have the most confidence in. My dad and I have had many 100 + smallie days at Erie with 3" white twist tail grubs with 1/8 oz. jig heads.

I took my boat down to the river tonight and totaled my Prop. Does anyone have any suggestions on a prop to try. My set-up is Crestliner 1850 Sportfish it is 18' 2" with a 92" beam. My motor is a 1996 Mariner 115 hp. Looking for a good performing prop for mostly fishing and some tubing.

I own a Tool& Die shop , I buy alot from metalexpress online. If you call there ask for Alan , great place to deal with . Alot of times its cheaper when you call but the online prices will get you started.

Prop looks good , thought maybe it was slipping but its still keyed in.

I have a 1996 Mariner 115 hp out board . I have it on my 1850 Crestliner Sportfish. It has been pushing my boat at around 35 mph GPS speed. Yesterday for half the day at Erie it would only run about 25 mph. Then all the sudden bang back to 35 mph. Today took it down to the river it tops out at 25-26 again. Anyone have any suggestions to point me in the right direction to figure out why.

Bug, I'm also lookin. I'm heading up to Erie,Pa. in the morning. We caught alot of nice smallies in mid june in Presque Isle bay average 100 per day. I really never tried this time of year up there. I'm hoping for some good results.

We caught 80% on 3" white twist tails with 1/8 oz. jig heads. The other 20% on watermellon tubes and grubs. We caught 300 smallies the last two weekends , couldn't make it this weekend. May try out my new motor at either Moraine or Crooked Creek Sunday.

Water jumped almost 11 degrees in a week , I hope to get atleast another good weekend in. We did ok up till begining of July last year. Then switched to large mouths. I might try out in the main lake after this weekend.

Just found this site , I'm from Cabot,Pa. Just south of Butler. I have fished Presque Isle the Last two weekends , my dad and I caught 140 smallmouth last weekend and 95 this saturday and another 30+ in a few hrs sunday morning. Hope to get back up this weekend. ;D
