I just make to sure to use accurate casts and work it along the edges. Since I made the post I've had a lot of success around weedlines and stumps. Make several casts in the same promising areas and the fish will come out.
I'm glad to hear all that. My dad and uncle are always talking about how Lake Jackson was just an unbelievable lake. I guess it's done for good? Or is it supposed to fill back up eventually?
I live in Jacksonville and my dad and I are looking at going to a new lake. We fish Rodman pretty regularly, and we've been to the Harris Chain in the past. The one thats catching my eye at the moment is Orange/Lochloosa. Any opinions and/or advice?
I usually go down to trout creek or back near Clarks fish camp. I live in Mandarin so I'm not too far from the creeks. I don't really like fishing the river, it's iffy at best. As far As the salinity levels are concerned, bass can pretty much adapt to anything. Of course they prefer fresher water but you can still find them on the main river.
I'm flying out to Edmond Oklahoma today and will be there till sunday. Looking to get a little fishing in. Probably gonna go to Wes Watkins. I really have no clue what to expect but I want to go somewhere where I can possibly rent a boat. Any help would be great. Thanks.
The question is: Is it better to punch a mat or work on top of it?
I somehow managed to sit through and watch one more cast with shaw grigsby. In between his annoying spurts of calling fish "pigs" and "toads" and "tanks" he actually got me thinking about the Strike King Rage toad.
Recently I've been trying to punch through mats with a t-rigged chigger craw but Shaw was throwing a Rage Toad on top of the mats and pulling out plenty of "tanks."
Opinions?
Its not too hard to learn how to use one, just take it out for some practice and see how it goes. I have a quantum bc that I love and a few others, it just takes some getting used to
Came back from college today and stopped by bass pro on the way home. My budget was 40 bucks but I spent 52...kinda figured it would be like that anyways.
The best purchase so far was the tru-tungsten tru-life swimbait, I caught three bass of it today in the St Johns river. The bass just annihilate it; I leave the bearings out and let it float. Caught 2 bass of a Yum Money Minnow and have yet to try the strike king burner spinnerbait and the swim senko.
Lookin forward to a summer of fishing
I can go to walmart anytime I want but heading to bps is a little more rare. As far as the 40 bucks is concerned I'm pretty sure I'll be spending more. But right now it seems like I'll be picking up horny toads and senkos. Anyone want to suggest a swimbait?
Leaving for jacksonville on tuesday and I'll be there thru june. On the way home I'm stopping @ bass pro. ;D I have a budget. If you had 40 bucks what lures would you get? Keep in mind I'll be fishing in the southeast all summer.
There is a pond that is 30 sec from where I live. I've caught a ton of fish out of there but lately the fish have had lockjaw. The complex has started putting chemicals or somethin in the water to turn it an aqua color. I've thrown just about everything I own, from shad raps to super flukes, but I only caught one fish in three trips. Help!
I've tried a few swimbaits from strike king, berkely, yum, and others but I've caught more fish off a zoom fluke than all of em combined. I fish north florida so that's a little closer than cali. Try gold fish, arkansas shiner, or my favorite, white pearl
