  1. Where? I cant see them.
  2. You guys are AWESOME!!!!! Don't forget that it's great that those of you who have a couple extra bucks can send them but for those like myself where money is tight, old (yet functional) equipment is a great way to give. Like I said, I don't have an extra $100 but I had a Fin-nor ahab 16 reel that was used twice that I was able to give Ryan to ebay. All said and done,.... what comes around goes around and on behalf of the Lamb family, THANKS ALOT GUYS!
  3. oooooh son. Stylin' now. Good luck with it!! Got a pic?
  4. ok, back to the subject....raise of hands,.... How many people have fallen in? how many doing it while peeing?
  5. Absolutely, 5 rods locked and loaded at all times. The baits will depend on the season and cycle but having them ready and rigged means time and time = more casts and more casts= more fish. More, more, more, more, more, more....oops, I think I just stole the new B.A.S.S. moto, lol
  6. The 3rd person is a pain regardless of what 12 you get but we stand in my buddys 1236 no problem. Not as stable as mine but definately do-able. I had a light duty 12 once where adding the seats did make it a bit tipsy. I had 15 inch pedestals but when I changed them to 7", it was much better. The pic below is the old light duty w/ the higher pedestals. THis boat is a no-no. Lower pedestals were a must. This boat was like riding a skateboard on ice. Just looking at this old pic makes me want to catch my balance!!
  7. Funny , I thought you looked familiar! Somthing about your eyes...
  8. I have video that will crack you guys up. Short avi files of us out on the ice praying and burning things to the gods in January. Singing. Somthing we can't do so I change the words to apply to fishing.. The angling rapper. Commentaries on the night, etc. We have bottle rocket wars between the other boats from our team. Roman candles count. Ever been ambushed at 3am entering a cove,....cornered? We don't drink on the boat as a rule. Also as a rule, we are "420 club" card holders. Gold edition we wear different socks on purpose, shorts or not. Different colors too. Black dress sock with white jock sock, etc It is so true, so many funny moments are born on a boat. Whether born of boredom or just plain too many hours afloat, it's some hilarious stuff. Our next move is to get a voice recorder, like people use in meetings to tape the whole trip each time. There are so many funny things I've forgotten over the yrs (again, 420 club, lol) I don't want to lose those moments.
  9. Don't ever get caught coming around the point in the fog when you think you're alone on the lake if your partner and you are 2 adult men singing Barry Manilow archipella. This is gonna be a good,...looong post, lol AAAAt the copa,....copa cabana....
  10. flyrod- I once caught an old man in the eyebrow w/ a 1/64 adams. Little thing looked like it hurt. I got a cat claw in the nostril once, not a fun place to be scratched
  11. But the spawn is long gone and those tails have long since healed. RAUL?? We need you here.
  12. Thanks Sam, I do alot of custom fiberglass fabrication for show cars. Audio, video, motorized units etc. My point is that the "talent" part doesn't exist. Not much to it, but having the tools around and the time, that's the trick. Thanks again everybody, I notice this boat has inspired a few of you to take on a jon boat. Good luck to all of you and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
  13. I know you are in the "ultra-light" mode but I think you should seriously consider moving up to a medium outfit. The ultra-light keeps you very limited. I personally don't even own an u/l anymore although when I started out, that was all I used. Now, I would only use one if I were fishing a very small river for some small trout which I rarely do anymore. Just a thought. Better hooksets, much longer casts, stiffer line, bigger lures=====bigger, better fish!
  14. sorry,....read it wrong,.....lol
  15. max-n-mn---a 9 wt?? for trout?? You live near a nuclear power plant? lol
  16. One thing Ryan forgot is that no, unfortunately, you cannot fly fish with spinning or baitcasting gear. A fly rod and reel are neccessary. A 7weight fly rod is the norm for bassin' but if ultra-light is your thing, you can go as low as a 5 weight. Good luck and welcome aboard.
  17. THey may not be fry anymore, pardon the technical term but they are finally big enough to see in schools. Pods are more like it.
  18. I got no answer. left message. Will post asap. For now I would go with Lori
  19. One sec. slight confusion. I met his mom and her name is Lori, so I assumed it would go there but the address Ryan sent me said Ronnie. Let me call Ryan, brb
  20. Who you kiddin'? We all know that cottage has a lake out back!,lol
  21. Awesome! Congrats! Glad everyone is happy and healthy. Enjoy your new addition!!
  22. Piranha- yes but it's not just depth. Points in current especially have lots of advantages with the biggest being an "eddy" type situation for A FAT LAZY BASS TO AMBUSH IN.
  23. We've noticed in the last few days that the bass fry are out in force. Giant clouds of them. I've been throwing a baby 1 minus thinking it might be time to crank up a few but the crank has been fruitless. No problems catching on senko, jig, topwaters, etc but can't get one on a crank. This lake doesn't have a baitfish forage other than bluegill so cranks aren't a big choice here but seeing how there's a hatch I figured we should throw them a bit. Any ideas why these won't work? Is it maybe staying too high in the water column?
