  1. Email the chamber of commerce for whichever state(s) you are interested in.
  2. If anyone wants one, send me the pics .
  3. These guys will have it if you are still having problems. I've used them twice with no regrets so far. I needed a speed control switch once and an old style prop and shear pin once. http://www.trollingmotorparts.com/ Use exploded diagrams on left to find part and number to order, just click on your make, year, and then model for the exploded diagram. Good luck.
  4. The signs are posted for a reason, I would let the authorities know that people have been observed ducking the fence and fishing in the posted areas but not necessarily tell on him.
  5. welcome aboard, do you have any pics of the local species you speak of?
  6. yea, I didn't think about the legal aspects. I'm definately looking into it though.
  7. The few different tagging sites explain how and where to tag the fish. Doesn't seem very evasive and we've caught stripers with tags as old as 7 yrs. I want to research it more, for example, I found a company that lets you pick what's printed on the tag but minimum orders might be large I'm thinking (email sent). If I had some that just said,"research fish\do not harvest", and a #, then maybe I can split the cost with some of you guys or a couple local clubs maybe to place an order. We'll see Glenn, contact local legislator, some ideas are born to be laws. ;D
  8. Are they still in production?
  9. Anybody tag their fish? Kevthebassman left this link in another post. I think I'm going to give it a try I've fished the same place for 20 yrs and would love the data you could get from tagging. Plus maybe, if someone catches a 4 or 5 and it has a tag in it, they will let it go. We need tags that say "please release" and a serial number. http://www.fishunlimited.org/ProgramsTagging.shtml
  10. Depending on where you are geographically also, what are the bass doing this time of year. What they are doing here in New England, I'm sure, is much different than Georgia. If they are staging deeper, roll deep, etc. For instance, right now up here, fish are sitting on the deeper ends of all points, primary and secondary, and tight to wood that sits in the 10-15 ft range so I would deep roll banks that are near wood in that depth or out deep on the points as opposed to throwing in the weeds along the shore.
  11. I think it would be more of the fact that RW touched on. "Closed environment" are the key words. I fish a 292 acre private impoundment which I'm sure holds bass in the thousands. I suppose if all the fish have an opportunity to hit the same bait repeatedly, they may shy eventually. Totally not knockin' nick's observations, just adding another opinion to the equation.
  12. dropping, I'm sure. New England is just coming out of a similar stage. Not quite the fall bite yet but close. THis is a time to stick to your guns. THe fish in my lake moved deeper. Finesse Jigs and senkos prevailed. eventually.
  13. Nick, I think that's good for a quick experiment but overall, I don't think they ever get sick of certain baits. THey either trigger or they dont. I know an elderly man at my lake who has been catching trophy bass at night there since the 60's . This guy is older than dirt and quite the charachter, anyway, he has an all wood canoe and still rows himself. We see him out there in the middle of the night and for 20 years the joke has always been,..."evenin' Alfred, whatchya throwin'?" He only buys 1 lure. Blk Jitterbug
  14. Personally, I think you did the right thing. These days, it's not worth it. If they are the same guys that KU has a problem with than I bet they already have an appointment for whats coming to them. You can't tick off that many people and not have someone confront you. But in the future, valve grinding compound, you don't need the whole tube but at least 1/2 in the gas tank and the cylinder walls will be too scored to hold compression within a month. Traceless, no varnish in the fuel system like sugar. stores easily in car or tackle box. Great for new cars! slow cure for a bad attitude. But again,(cough) I don't condone this. (cough)
  15. 1. a boss that lets you 2. find the fish and a 3. G/f That lets you go so you can 4. figure out the lure and presentation needed to 5. light one up and crack a beer in victory!
  16. PM sent. I have to disagree with many here. I personally would offer: Heavyweight sweatshirts, hooded s/s, mock t-necks w/ arm writing, vests, Shaped hats instead of the ones w/ the peak in front. t-shirts-embroidered/vaporwick visors no insult intended, opinion asked for
  17. Nope, not me, I have a friend that was looking for that thread. Thanks!
  18. I learned to duck! My partner has a hookset that has the bait coming at you as fast as it went out! I WILL be caught soon enough!
  19. Thanks alhuff, and I"M ON VACATION!!
  20. Now that I've been here a bit, I notice the BR link on so many other homepages. Reputable tackle companies, club sites, it's everywhere!
  21. funny because wal-mart has commercials aimed at tournament fisherman now and the commercial plays out just like the last post. Guess that campaign is working!
  22. There was a post about this recently but I can't find it, any help? If not, can anyone who replied before, please do so again? THanks.
  23. There is a lake on my route that the same thing happened to. The neighborhood has been raising the money (125k) over the last 2 yrs and should make their goal this winter. Sad to see the lake so low for so long but.... Anyway, my point is that the neighborhood has to pay themselves.
  24. We don't get to hold 'em like that up here in RI, so my guess is out
