  1. Chances are, you're balance does suck, but not for long. You will be surprised how much better you will know your body and when you dial in on your weight placement, posture and COB, other minor ailments go away,....you get better at the sports u play, etc. Stick with it, it's awesome. Balance is key
  2. Funny but also very representative of how it often happens. Just a great fishing trip all around, caught on tape
  3. WGFS (Worlds Greatest Fishing Show) Walnuts- Don't look now but your insecurities are showing :-*
  4. Wimps,...buy a generator, we deal with this stuff all the time. lol just kidding Glad all is well, hope everything gets back to normal soon
  5. Anyone watching Zonas show? Pretty cool. This is what fishing is to me. These guys got so excited over a 40lb "sea donkey" (love Zona) that they were giddy and hugging each other. How many fish have these guys caught in this lifetime??? It never gets old and sharing with someone you totally respect and appreciate is just the bomb. It's Zonas show and Bill is tutoring him. Zona is more than fine with that, submitting alpha male status (his show) to the Gentleman, teacher and ambassador. Inspiring to someone who also loves to teach. Guys hugging and jumping up & down over a great catch says a lot in this society. Great stuff. Good fishing
  6. It's a Cali thing, lol I had someone pretend they worked for the state and he was telling me I was not allowed to be at our lake because it is private access. Wrong dude to try that on. Question 1 Who do u work for again? D.E.M. (our DNR) what dept? Fisheries Soyou work for Jim? Yea There is no Jim, the directors name is Bob and the fisheries management directors name is Christine. I'll need to see your ID before I call her. We don't get ID's I have written permission to be here from Christine and the Providence water supply board. I've petitioned the neighbors and have 17 signatures allowing me to be an advocate for the neighborhood in reporting my findings back to the supply board so they can use the data in conjunction with their testing. (I used to go get the Max depth samples for them once a week) I have permission to park on 3 different properties. So do I need to call a cop or are you going to go away? (3 of us, 1 of him) He left. Turns out he moved in up the street (off the shore, not a legal "lake" resident") and found out this was semi private and was trying to enforce this fact himself. He's lucky I'm a diplomatic guy,....I know people that would have used him for chum that afternoon.
  7. Neither. LOW Budget, HIGH access, lol
  8. Right on. Are you running wire line? I noticed your buddy's jacket, must be something about big stripers and maroon North Face gear.....
  9. I say GOOD RIDDANCE to all cigarettes coming up on 5 months clean
  10. Going from 12/yr to 52/year ................... down scaling????
  11. CLICK ME
  12. Although that article is enticing,it is not the synopsis of what the Bluefin industry has become. I got out of it because the money was no longer justified. Buyers and brokers are in cahoots so when you come to the dock, the prices are pre-set, the bargaining days of yesterryear are gone. Add to that, the per seine quotas have sky rocketed while the rod & reel quotas get lower and lower every year. It's a monopoly. There are only a handful of fleet owners that make up something like 88% of what's harvested, the rest is slimpickings for rod/reel guys like me and spear boats (Harpoon boats w/spotter planes) It was getting to the point where I was selling a fish I KNEW to be grade B,B+ for 3K when it should get an easy 9 and then the quota is filled a day later. 2 day season. what the????? a reel is 1k, a rod $500,....x4..... gas, bait, high end electronics, yadda yadda, it adds up. Wasn't cost Justified anymore I have lots of pics if anyones interested but they're a good 8-10 yrs old now.
  13. Mass has lots of good Pike fisheries, NH,not so sure. Check out the Blackstone River. PM Bassectomy on this, he'll put you straight.
  14. funny story about the "generics" stuff. My first day at college, I opened one of my suitcases and on top was my first care pkg from mom plus a note. Nice touch, right? Well, I open the pkg and one of the things in there were "generic condoms" White packet, black letters...."Generic Condom....for cheap f@*kers" See,...I've been "Low Budget" for a loooong time, lol Man, did I laugh,....gotta love mom.
  15. I think that was just re-canned "Billy Beer" that didn't sell,....from back during the Carter administration. :-? ;D ps- that's the "maltliquer",...regular Shlitz looks like this
  16. I love these posts. Newborn innocence and a fathers pride just beam with good vibes, thanks for sharing and of course,....conDADulations!!!!!
  17. I had always been a finesse jigger. I specialized in what my lake offered the most of,...probing flats. The flats in my lake are out in the open water, most don't know they are there. My lake offers tons of great looking shoreline to keep the bankbeaters beating the bank, leaves the flats for me. Probing, dragging and figuring out which of the slopes they are using to ambush (no electronics). I only used FULL PROFILE 1/8 oz jigs as my lake has lots of hydrilla. That was my "thing" Nowadays though, I'm a 1 bait guy. Last yr I learned wake baiting. This yr I am producing my own version of a slammer that will be for sale and I will be moving on to some of the larger, sinking swimbaits. Can't wait.
  18. Nice! How many B/G does it take to make a serving? I know, for me, 2-3 yellow Perch is a serving (4-6 fish sticks) but always wondered about gills. Also, is it a basic filet, just thin? (w/ Perch, I only used the backstrap. but gills are shaped different)
  19. Easy Hercules,...you gotta start slow! Lifting weights brings up a bit of news. I took on a new sponsor this yr, Cytosport, the makers of Muscle Milk. If you're going to keep at it, they make a Muscle Milk "light" for folks like you. It has "recovery" agents in it that help the muscles heal. I'm using the opposite stuff right now, "Cytogainer". I've added 22 lbs since the last video,...no more "Eat a hamburger" comments from you! lol. Seriously though, if you want some samples, let me know
  20. Try it with a mentos
  21. :-? what the heck's a blue lobster? this isnt a lobster, its a crawfish. and no way i would never band up his claws, he uses them to eat! and he couldn't eat my fish, they're too big and quick. You're gonna learn the hard way My Oscar got sick and a cray I fed him over a yr ago (gave him about 6 or 7 awhile back) had survived and had been living under the driftwood. I woke up one morning and he had already wiped out the back 2 fins, I was just in time. Oscar healed. He's 15 yrs old now, won't be keeping him much longer but that's a looooong time to own the same fish. Tank looks really nice !
  22. Anyone else from New England?? I am looking to fly out on the 4th if anyone wants to make the trip alongside me.
  23. I know what you are thinking of. Basically, you are rigging it texposed. enter the tip of the hook just off center of the worm, pull all the way thru till you hit the hook eye. spin it and re-enter the tip into the worm just a bit.
  24. A good read but I'm still with Catt on this one. They remember somewhat, but they don't really retain it. I WILL say however that the other side has a point that can not be tested yet. animals adapt over time and we have only been throwing lures at them for 100 yrs or so. We don't rightly know if Bass might be uncatchable in 1000 yrs. If there is retention, it is minimal and will not affect me in this lifetime.
