  1. How high are the ceilings? Pitchin/flippin out of the question?
  2. How else are you going to control traffic? It's tricky though. No longer is it "red on right return", it's more of an English version of traffic control, "White on right return" Be careful out there guys. Does anyone have the link to the thread where the guy explains what programs to download and how to overlay the google earth with the others etc? It was awesome, I'll try to find it
  3. Mrs M, you have to understand, you are the dream girl,....NOT the norm. Nodding and agreeing works but I find it hard to believe that I'm the only one who has learned to use HER concerns as MY stack of chips. A little thought as to what she is REALLY asking, and there is often a way for you to satisfy her AND get what you want out of the deal. It's the art of the deal,...the compromise. No,...I'm not married ;D
  4. See how time flies amigo??? This is awesome news and is a fine example that no matter how OLD you are, you can ALWAYS learn. I/we are very proud of our resident lunatic. You set your bar high and cleared the jump my man. VERY WELL DONE!!! (muddy-sorry I rook so long to reply, was out for the night.)
  5. Kevin (bc57) Is the ice build up something you can get a visual on from the cockpit? Is it something you can feel in the responsiveness (or lack of) at the controls? Rest in peace all but lets try to remember the odds, many, many, many more people pass away in car accidents than plane crashes,...flying is one of the SAFER ways to travel. Rest in peace all, prayers sent
  6. Delivery times are based on "zones". For example, it would be crazy for me to spend the $ for "next day air" service on a package to Vt. It is 1 zone away which means it will be there in 1 day anyway. Rates can be very different for the different services so it's worthwhile to take a peak at the zone chart if you know where your item is coming from. The chart below applies to my zip code, for yours, type your zip code in the box found HERE Another example. Florida is 2 zones away, 3 days max. Paying for "3-day select" service is again, pointless.

  8. I've been waiting for this one for a long time. Can't wait.
  9. Me2 :-?
  10. Not singling you out BD,just using your reply as an example. Given, this is more of what makes a good TOURNAMENT angler but what about the big picture? WHO ENJOYS IT THE MOST OR GETS THE MOST OUT OF THE EXPERIENCE? To me, this HAS to be a criteria
  11. Larry is awesome. I got to see some proto types he gave Robert for Brazil. 1 word. HUGE. Awesome
  12. Don't get me wrong, a record is a record and is certainly an honor, but in all reality,...it's only a 20+ lb fish. I would bet in your part of the country a 40lb cat isn't rare. It's all relative, not too hard to comprehend at all here in Ocean country where a rigged bait can weigh as much as 5-6 lbs.
  13. Not bat ole swing builder
  14. I feel your pain bud, 2 bad shoulders here too. There's always wake baits
  15. I just got back from a weeks vacation in California. For the first 1/2 of the week,I was in San Diego, on Coronado Island with the crew from C.A.S.T. We did our yearly brainstorming session and exchanged ideas and suggestions for new hosts that are coming about this yr. After going over the schedule, there are a few of you from the board who I will be visiting personally this season! I can't wait!! The C.A.S.T. Crew I also got to, not just meet, but hang out with, Clay Dyer and his buddy Elvin Smith.. I know you probably all know, or assume , how cool Clay is but meeting him in person was a treat I was not ready for. Clay has a humor that puts people at ease immediately. It's a ball busting type of humor that fits right in perfectly with me. His friend Elvin (an attorney and tournament angler from Dallas) is a top notch guy as well. Together we had some laughs and Clay invited me to come pre-fish Champlain with him this July. Talk about an honor!! On another FLW-ish note, the FLW has committed to hosting 4 CAST events this yr!! Now, I'm not sure on the full details of that yet, whether or not the pro's will be involved. Stay tuned!! So after the conference, I headed North to Gilroy to visit with RedlineRobert and Gidget. Unfortunately, Gidget has been going flat out studying and taking a big test for work, so I didn't get to spend as much time with her as I would have liked but they are coming here in Sept so we'll make up for it then. Robert,on the other hand, got to get a free lesson on how to find some Delta stripers, lol. Once we found them, the rest was easy. Tons of fun on the Steez ML paired with a baby Stella. Not alot of pictures, they were all the same size but,.....Roberts turn Some of the "junk" I got stuck using...... oh, 1 more thing, if you haven't read it yet, you must check out Clay's new book, "The View Is Just Fine from Down Here" It's a quick read that explains how Clay got to be where he is today. A true inspiration and a well needed view of some quality human nature. Clay was , and is,surrounded by some amazing people. It details Clay's journey and lends great example to the fact that obstacles are only temporary if you choose them to be. A great read. (Stratosdadri- I have a personally signed copy from Clay to you for all you do for the kids here in RI)
  16. Today, for lunch, I went NEW ENGLAND REDNECK GHETTO FABULOUS Steamers, Alaskan king crab, a lobster,..........................................with fries and slaw, lol 8-) and yes,...Altoids helped me quit smoking, lol ;D
  17. Not the best example to set. > Back on topic
  18. Template??? POPSICLE STICKS DUDE! Great idea
  19. On that 1st one, the line under the spot and the eye. Is that painted on or an actual groove on the bait? If painted, it's flawless, I sure can't tell from here.
  20. My sentiments exactly,..marble,....saran wrap,....very trick, very nice.
  21. Same here, for me, that's mud When I think of "stained" I think of tea colored, not real cloudy, just dark. (what biz said but in laymans terms)
  22. I think you guys should car pool to fluke's. It'd be a great memory,.....remember the ice storm of '08? Yea, we went bass fishing....lol
  23. Well, my whole day wasn't bad but it started off pretty sucky. I'm in another cluster (my migraines are back for a few months). I woke up yesterday morning and was hit within the hour. No biggee, I still have 1 more shot b4 I have to go get the refills. Load the self injector, press against the top of my butt (just below the waist) and pull the trigger,....odd,....no slight sting,.....wait,...do I feel wetness?? Between the long john shirt and the 2 tucked in shirts, the needle never made it to the skin............the next hour was pure hell.
