  5. That's a 2 way street Paul, I know many of us were very happy to finally meet you also. We really appreciate you making the trip down just to introduce yourself and say hi but it's a bummer you can't stay tear some lips with us. There's always next year
  6. Sunday- BAD WEATHER!! High winds, sporadic heavy rains and the temps dropped drastically as the threat of a tornado loomed in the air. We spent the day exploring, catching up on sleep and rigging gear for Tuesday. We had a visit from Paul (Hawg-caller). Great to meet him in person but it's tough to see a member who wants to stay and play but can't. We all met down at the Bay View House on the water and RW cooked up some burgers and beans for dinner. After dinner we were treated to a personal seminar by Steve Parks (Big O) on rigging and applications for the line of Rage Tail Baits. We were also given the inside scoop on what's to come and folks, there are some innovative designs coming to your tackle box soon. Very Cool stuff. After ig O, we had JJ Polack, from JJ's majic, give us some tips and pointers on how to alter your baits and make them stand out from the others. When he opened the jar, I was immediately brought back to the 2nd road trip and Muddys meatballs. The room FILLED with the beautiful aroma of garlic. Again, very informative and interesting to hear about these products from the creators. What a resource. Ryan (Senko77) also showed up about midnight. It's great to see all my all friends again. So,...I'm one of the 1st ones up today and the weather has cleared. The temps are a bit low still but the wind has knocked down and the sun is out. It's spawn time. Full moon week. Stay tuned,....the team is about to make y'all wish you were here even more than you do now. Kentucky Lake is a gem with tons of very eye appealing territory to cover. I have full confidence that the knowledge contained in this here group can find them. Report to follow. LBH out
  7. OK guys, this is the thread we will be compiling all the days info on to let y'all know who was hot,......and who was not, lol. A recap. Saturday-about 1/2 of us arrived early and got a good 1/2 day of fishing in before the weather began to change. Some folks stayed out anyway. Lots of smaller buck bass were caught, I don't think anyone zero'd. Burley highlined and still holds the spot. His fish was 5.2lbs I believe. We spent the night getting to know each other and picking each others brains. Folks, we have some top notch anglers here this yr.
  8. what's considered "worst" to somepeople is what I consider "best" SEE Y'ALL SOON!!!
  9. I have to disagree, BR has caused quite a few family issues,......GOOD ones!!!
  10. Dealing with leveling the tank again, PH spike (high) Does anyone know of any household chemicals I could use to make it more acidic? (I know baking soda works to raise it, wondering if there's an opposite.)
  11. If you find me when you're ready to add on to the sound, I can hook you up on a few different levels. When you start to look at dampening, check out B-quiet Brown Bread. Same thing as Dynamat, different color foil,1/2 the price. and, re-read Brent's (***) post, he can see your pic just fine, I think you missed the joke ;D
  12. Always with the disclaimer,...... :
  13. 1. true though I think positioning downwind might help? 2. b 3. false 4. false 5. false 6. true 7. true 8. b 9. d 10. false I just copied CJ to the dime,......practicing for next week,lmao ;D ;D
  14. Nonsense, I'm on Fb and also on Team Depends I've gotten in touch with classmates from elementary school (including my 4th grade teacher) through college, through my skiing career. Russia, Canada,France, Bermuda, Spain,....I've found people I never thought I see or hear from again, it's awesome. -However- It's turning into an A-bomb for marriages. People are hooking up,....people who's marriages have been stagnant,.....along comes the ex from HS,...same drama at home,....lets do lunch,....yadda yadda, and the badness begins. My buddy is having some marriage issues. They are seeing a counselor. He told me that when FB came up (it really isn't an issue in his marriage, but it was mentioned), the therapist said that literally, 9 out of 10 people who sit in front of her lately end up saying the word,...FaceBook. She said it is like an epidemic of divorce triggers. Crazy,...users beware.
  15. HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE TWO DUCK HUNTERS FROM MINNESOTA ? ABSOLUTELY A TRUE STORY HEARD ON A MINNESOTA RADIO STATION REPORTING ON THE INCIDENT. A guy buys a new Lincoln Navigator for $42,500.00 (with monthly payments of $860.00). He and a friend go duck hunting in upper Minnesota . It ' s mid-winter; and of course all of the lakes are frozen. These two guys go out on the ice with their GUNS, a DOG, and of course the new NAVIGATOR. They decide they want to make a natural looking open water for the ducks to focus on, something for the decoys to float in. Now making a hole in the ice large enough to invite a passing duck, is going to take a little more power than the average drill auger can produce. So, out of the back of the new Navigator comes a stick of dynamite with a short 40 second-fuse. Now our two Rocket Scientists, afraid they might slip on the ice while trying to run away after lighting the fuse (and becoming toast, along with the Navigator), decide on the following course of action: They light the 40 second fuse; then, with a mighty thrust, they throw the stick of dynamite as far away as possible. Remember a couple of paragraphs back when I mentioned the NAVIGATOR, The GUNS, and the DOG...? Let ' s talk about the dog: A highly trained Black Lab used for RETRIEVING; especially things thrown by the owner. You guessed it: The dog takes off across the ice at a high rate of speed and grabs the stick of dynamite, with the burning 40-second fuse, just as it hits the ice. The two men swallow, blink, start waving their arms and, with veins in their necks swelling to resemble stalks of rhubarb, scream and holler at the dog to stop. The dog, now apparently cheered on by his Master, keeps coming. One hunter panics, grabs the shotgun and shoots the dog. The shotgun is loaded with #8 bird shot, hardly big enough to stop a Black Lab. The dog stops for a moment, slightly confused, then continues on. Another shot, and this time the dog, still standing, becomes really confused and of course terrified, thinks these two geniuses have gone insane. The dog takes off to find cover, UNDER the brand new Navigator The men continue to scream as they run. The red hot exhaust pipe on the truck touches the dog ' s rear end, he yelps, drops the dynamite under the truck and takes off after his master. Then " "" "" "" "" BOOOOOOOOOOOOM "" ""!!! The truck is blown to bits and sinks to the bottom of the lake, leaving the two idiots standing there with "I can' believe this just happened" looks on their faces. The insurance company says that sinking a vehicle in a lake by Illegal use of explosives is NOT COVERED by the policy. And he still had yet to make the first of those $860.00 a month payments. The dog is okay. . .doing fine. And you thought Rednecks only live in the South..
  16. I was thinking,..."Someone lost a bet...." lol I was thinking of doing that when I was at RedlineRoberts house,..."Ranger Comanche 22 w/ Merc 300R, $1200.00 obo......." ;D
  17. These guys have their stuff together! 12 miles of sandbagging and then another leveee being built behind it. Shelters are opened and supplied,....they're just really on top of the situation, good to see for a change. Good luck out there guys! Fingers crossed for a slow melt.
  18. Good news for the family Sad news for those of us who know what we are missing. There's always next yr man. Can't wait to see you in July at NJ's 1st CAST For Kids event!! woohoo Mike, thanks buddy See you soon!
  19. Finish the story Cart. The shore lunch was just the beginning. When he went to launch the beached boat, he ripped an oil line and didn't want to get his new BPS t-shirt messy so he just let it drain out. It's ok,...the oil was real old and dirty, was going to need to be drained soon anyway. To save the day, he figured he'd go grab some herring that are up in the rivers for a few weeks. Hope that net at the top of the fish ladder holds up this yr. I agree. I like Trout from the fresh and just about anything from the salt over a LM. (excluding Bluefish,...YUK) They're just gamier to me but then again, I don't like catfish either so........ I like my fish with shells Lobster, clams, crabs......Must be the Yankee in me.
  20. yea,...they're wiley critters, took me 3 yrs to get my first one, had it mounted. This year I'm learning to hunt land tortoise. I'm up for it now. ;D :
  21. Cabbage. It's called,......cabbage 8-) :-?
  22. That sucks. We've lost 2 pilots since I've been at UPS (17 yrs). These guys are very highly qualified. I believe you HAVE to have military flying hours be on a UPS crew, I imagine they have very similar standards at Fedex. RIP fellow box haulers
  23. I'd like to think I can catch a Bass on any plastic offered by Brent at ***. There's no rocket science to baits unlike many manufacturers would like to lead you to believe. On that note, they all work so give me the ones I can get the cheapest with the best and most personalized customer service. That ones a no brainer for me. ***, all day,. all night.
  24. No closed season in RI. You cannot fish trout waters (even for Bass) from the last day in Feb (29th) till the 2nd Saturday in April (Opening Day)
