  1. If I get it in the mail, it came from TW
  2. I usually use a 6'' Roboworm, Squirrel Tail worm, or a Zoom finesse worm.
  3. I use both and really don't pay attention to the color anymore. I used to think it made a difference but you don't get really clear water where I fish, couple feet of visibility is about it. The color I use is determined by what was available in the line I needed at the time.
  4. The Cumaras are currently on sale so that would be my pick (null)
  5. I never had a problem with the powerhump on my BPS rods, don't think it really does anything but it wasn't a hinderance. I happen to think the XPS reel seat is one of the most comfortable reel seats available.
  6. For the price, the Crankin Stick is a good choice and on sale they're even better. They aren't the most sensitive rods or the lightest but they get the job done. The MH should be fine for deep cranks, I use a M powered rod for deep cranks without trouble. Casting distance may suffer a bit with the 7' rod but you shouldn't have any trouble at all, I fished a 7'MH crankbait rod for years and still do occasionally.
  7. Boss makes an all wire rig that's $8.99. I have two of these, one is the compact rig. I've never had any trouble with them. You can get them at TW...apperently the links are blocked
  8. in short, nope. I never could get bit on them. They stink, there's very little action, and they stink.
  9. I bought a 7'10''M Carrot Sticks Gold from TW last year on Clearance for $120 and its a great cranking rod. I'd suggest a BPS Cranking Stick for a sub$100 rod.
  10. Most of my setups are matched in some way. I have some brand matching setups, all my Shimano Cumara rods have Chronarchs and all my Daiwa Zillions have Daiwa reels (Alphas and Zillion) but I usually match colors if I can. All my Carrot Stix Gold rods have Sols or an amber orange Pixy, Damiki Dark Angels (red and black) with a Fuego and Stradic Ci4, and my Powell rods have Curado Es. I also have Curados on a Pinnacle Perfecta, Kistler Helium II, and Dobyns Savvys.
  11. I use a mix of different line currently but usually recommend some type of P-line copoly. I use CX, CXX, and Flouro-Clear the most, usually Flouro-Clear for cranks, jerkbaits, and spinning; CXX in 10-12lb and 20lb; and CX from 12-17lb.
  12. My favorite names come from Mark Zona, that guy is completely off the rails. My biggest from Guntersville last year was a North Alabama Swamp Donkey. El Donkey Kong Hee-Haw has been thrown around this year and is by far my favorite
  13. I use my 7'MH-F Avid for spinnerbaits and lipless cranks. I fish plastics with it too but mostly the moving baits
  14. Jimmy films alot of shows at his Twin Eagles ranch and he usually says so. I've gone swimming after a Mattlures hard gill before.
  15. I like Chrome, Gold, chartreuse, Royal and Rayburn red,
  16. I had a Shakespeare caster combo that I got from Dicks when I was younger, around 10-11, but gave up on it. Started really bass fishing when I was around 20 with a Pro Qualifier PQX100 round reel
  17. I would say either a good copoly or braid. I like to line watch while fishing weightless so I'd want something to float.
  18. Theres a $30 rebate for Citicas until April, I've never fished a Citica G but the E is a fine reel. Other than that, I'd recommend the Pro Qualifier
  19. I usually carry 4-5 rods when I go bank fishing. Where I fish, there's not alot of accessible bank, I have 4-5 spots that I choose between and usually fish the same spot everytime. At this spot I have a creek channel, grass flat, standing trees, sunken trees, bridge pilings, underwater rock piles, and riprap. With the abundance of different structure and cover, I have a wide array of techniques I can and do fish. On a typical day I'll fish deep cranks, shallow cranks/jerkbait, tube, jig, t-rig, shakeyhead, dropshot, and swimbaits. It really benifits me to take different rods, I'd feel silly without multiple rigs.
  20. Technically you could....I did....for 10 mins. I threw one on my 7'MH Zillion, rated the same as a 7'H Kistler and Powell. The rig was unweighted with 3-3/16oz heads and 2-3/8oz heads. I felt like I was going to snap my rod on a hard cast, and I've thrown many swimbaits on it. I plan on atleast using a flipping stick but probably my swimbait rod...something rated for atleast 2oz
  21. There's also a current $30 rebate on shimanos
  22. Senko, Tube, Roboworm
  23. In short....for me, no, they are not more productive. Are they good baits? Sure, but there are just as good or better for less.
