I use BPS Tender Tubes and Cabin Creek Critter Gitters. I like a smaller profile on the lake I fish, I feel like the skinnier tubes get a better and bigger bite. I have used the double dipped flipping style tubes and they are ok but I prefer the thin walls and smaller profile for tubes
Quantums are noisy on the cast....Is your reel a Quantum? I have nothing against them but I have two and a buddy has a few blue Tours, all noisy on the cast.
I've snapped off many spooks on a hard cast. I was fishing a matts soft baby bass this year on 12lb FC and forgot to press the thumb bar on the cast...I gave it a good hefty cast and it went sailing across the the lake...it was my second cast with the bait.
I haven't thrown topwater much the last few years but when I do I either throw a buzzbait or walking bait. I tend to carry a different selection of rods on each outing when fishing from shore so I don't always use the same rod for each technique. For buzzbaits I usually use the same as for spinnerbaits, 7'MH-F, usually either St. Croix Avid, Dobyns Savvy, or Damiki Dark Angel. For walking baits I like usually use my 6'10"MH Carrot Stix Gold or 7'M Daiwa Zillion.
It's a spanish goat sucker....
That was MonsterQuest, they didn't really prove anything but the sample was K-9...atleast I don't think they did.
I live like 2 hours from there and haven't heard anything about this...with just about every "encounter" with the cupacabra the animal looks different. Usually looks like a coyote and there is no shortage of those around here, that's something weird looking though.
I had two magnesiums and they were good rods. I got them at the end of the year closeout that Kistler has just about every year. They are great at $100 but for their price point of $160, there are better at lower prices. I felt that the magnesiums fished very similar to the Powell Max which is at a lower price. I have since sold my magnesiums but just picked up a Helium II on sale so I'm gonna give them another shot.
On a side note, I have a friend that has about 4 of the 7'H Magnesiums and really likes them.
me toooo i hated that line, trilene big game
just as unmanageable but weaker.
I like CXX, use it from 8-20lb. I crank with 10lb, spinnerbaits-12lb, flip/pitch-14-17lb, swimbaits-20lb
I don't care for the rage tail chunks, I prefer the baby craw. The paxa chunks are great and are at a good price and have a very wide color selection. The selection of the ragetail baits is limited but both are great baits.
I have a Toro and the brakes are pretty good. I use mine for swimbaits and haven't had any trouble with it. The brakes are good, the Shimano VBS is better but the Abu brakes aren't at all bad.
I like Pawn Stars, they get some weird stuff on that show...like the baby gas mask. It's getting kinda annoying now that they are doing dream sequences and such....chumlee's wine was funny. AP is ok, don't care much for mike or frank's personalities. There are a few auction shows that are ok too...I think one of them is Hollywood Treasure where they deal with movie memorabilia....that ones neat.
I bought a Browning bag last year, tried to find in at BPS but it's not on there any more, It hold 4-3700 and 2-3600 boxes no problem, and that's not including the pockets. The only problem is it's big and I now carry an backpack that I am replacing this week with one of these

I am currently using BPS XPS and Seaguar Red Label but have some InvizX, AbrazX, and Sunline to try out next year. I tried McCoy earlier this year when it was on sale at TW but it was very inconsistent and seemed pretty weak and stiff.
I tried to do that but the only ones that show a discount are the mailed cards, the electronic cards don't have a discount.
As for the the op, I got mine for $153 and was thrilled. $150 is a great price for the 50e
