  1. Release them all....just take detailed pictures and measurements for replica
  2. Personally this year has been a crap shoot for me... only thing that sticks out is a descent sized walleye on a Strike King series 3 gizzard shad
  3. Man, that sucks...truely a sad story...I doubt if we have more 17,734 members that would like to tell that tale...Poor baby... : Haha....I would kill for that pain...They don't grow that way in KY...at least where I fish But yeah, before I had back surgery I would be in so much pain when I went fishing that I couldn't stand but when on was buttoned, up to my feet I went and remained so for around 10-15...then back to the ground it was
  4. I have never tried a Sahara....Heard good things but for the price I would recommend a President to anyone...Have had one for a around a year and love it
  5. They have the coolest reels
  6. I may have to call BS on that one!! :-? That's just what I read http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/InNews/meanmouth2004.html This picture was with the KY Afield article
  7. If you're going with BPS the extremes are a good deal, especially at 100.... plus you could always wait for the spring classic...lots of good deals
  8. I like sufix quiet a bit...a few months ago a local discount store had several several boxes of 100 yrd sample spools for $1, elite and seige, needless to say my smaller spinning reels will not be naked anytime soon
  9. I too enjoy my code... I have better reels but it's decent for the money. I also have small hands but have no problem with the size. It is a bit noisy and needs oiled out of the box FYI...it's not as good as Zillions, Fuegos, or curados but you could buy 2-4 codes for the price of these reels
  10. A friend of mine caught an 8 LB largemouth doing that . We've caught many LMB while crappie fishing with that rig. It's pretty much a finesse presentation that catches multiple species... I actually caught a 3lb flathead early this spring on it with 4lb line
  11. Agreeded...I think they left a "T" out of the name I've actually seen uninterested fish repelled by these baits
  12. I like the smell of renegade worms....it's almost like a grape soda smell
  13. you ain't kiddin'...I'm torn as to what I want...I like my extreme but a 7' would be nice. I just need to go and do some 1st hand comparisons and go from there
  14. It's funny, if you have ever watched The Bass Pros there is a segment with KVD and he is using his Quantum signature combo in one shot and says so but the rest of the time its a Tour PT rod and energy... He does however use his new crankbait rod that quantum has developed, the one with the foam handle
  15. I currently have a BPS Extreme 6'6" MH paired with a Pflueger President 6740 and am looking into getting a 7' rod. Just wondering what everyone thinks...should I go with a Medium or stick with the MH...I mainly use it for lighter T-rigs, some weightless, and jigheads (grubs and shakey). I was thinking of getting a Pro Qualifier if they go on sale next spring or maybe a Daiwa L&T... Any suggestons?
  16. wake baits are neat bait IMO....I have a few Mann's Elite Wakers and have had success as both a surface and subsurface bait.... yeah...which baits did you order?
  17. I've been eying that reel as well...good to hear that it seems to be worth it.... There's a black pinnacle at walmart too for around 100 that looks enticing
  18. I too have been looking into getting some all stars... Anyone have anything to say about the Big Boys
  19. My dad and I usually fish for crappie in the fall and winter with an unpainted weedless jighead, sometimes painted, with normally a white tube, he likes hollow salt and pepper tubes, I like the renegade solid solid body tubes. We use these with a small long slip bobbers with about 1-3' leader. We kinda just cast it out and work the bobber back slowly allowing the tube to swim. I don't know what this rig is actually called but a few people I have talked to about it have never heard of it.
  20. I read in Kentucky Afield that they were termed "meanmouth" because they were being studied at a hatchery and would repeatedly bite the ankles and legs of when wading the waters
  21. The sportsman's warehouse here did have a clearance sale on certain colors earlier this year so they may be discontinuing some colors but idk.
  22. Chartreuse w/ bleeding skirt and white w/ bleeding skirt have been my producers, granted they are the only two colors I have but work
