  1. I recently purchased both a 7'H Magnesium and a 6'10''MH Carrot Stix Gold but haven't had much of a chance to test them out but what I have done so far gets me to say that either would be a great choice.
  2. It's decent line, especially for the sale price of the bulk spool. It has some manageability problems as it does have some memory to it but it is relatively strong and sensitive. I've mainly used the heavier sizes for catfish but do have some of the 12lb blue line that I use for night fishing and trolling cranks for walleye.
  3. The new President and BPS Pro Qualifier are pretty much the same reel. As is the Patriarch and the BPS Johnny Morris Signature. That being said, the Patriarch is a great reel. I just bought two from ebay. The cast and retrieve smoothly and are really light. The dual braking is wonderful as well, unlike with some reels, the cetrifugal brake is enough on it's own but the magnetic adds to being able to dial it in on your own fishing style and abilities.
  4. Strike King Pure Poison......even though I've never even had a fish take notice of it....
  5. they are a creature type bait with 4 legs and 2 ails
  6. Like many have said...a senko type stick bait...I persoally started with BPS Stick-o's, Kinami Flash, and the Strike King Zero's....I would also say an original Zara Spook or Super Spook Jr. may take time to learn but very productive during a topwater bite
  7. Threaded
  8. Sounds good....I was going to say a kistler or carrot stix
  9. I use a 6'6'' M BPS Crankin' Stick and it works great for most except deep divers (>12 ft)
  10. So I went a little ebay crazy for the past month and here is how I faired Quantun Energy E750PT 89 + 8 sh/h Kistler Magnesium TS 7'H 89 + 16 sh/h Shimano Curado 200e7 150 free sh/h Pflueger Patriarch 6.1 LP 117 Pflueger Patriarch 6.1 WLP 109 + 16 sh/h for both reels e21 Carrot Stix Gold 6'10'' MH 138 + 15 sh/h So how do you think I did?
  11. PFLUEGER....tried my new curado and patriarch side by side and I pick the patriarch hands down....don't get me wrong.....I like my curado but put the patriarch and the president spinning reel together and it's all pflueger
  12. Fish Fishburne won a few BASS events...or at least one I know of...Reppin' team Grandma 8-)
  13. After getting my Patriarch, Pflueger is in the running...we'll see how my new curado works out though.
  14. yep...colors are differnt
  15. That kit is a whole lot of sexy shad
  16. Kinami baits were "developed" by Derek Yamamoto and ARE senkos by another name...the baby bass color that is available at walmart is one of my favorite colors
  17. It appears as if the topic has changed. He fishes many small watershed lakes in TN, GA, TX, and FL with a mean depth of 5-7 ft never more than 12...He actually said so when he did a show on these small bodies of water.... Don't forget he caught the first bass of the first officially sanctioned BASS tourney.
  18. pflueger president hands down. The mitchell advocet is good reel for $20
  19. It's been in the 50's here in KY for the past 3 days and woke up this morning to 20's and a solid inch thick sheet of ice
  20. Okeechobie Fats bag as well as a Bass Masters bag for my cranks but Looking to upgrade for more space to either a backpack or a larger bag
  21. I recently found a game for PS1 during a cleaning spree that has to be one of the worst games I have ever played. Don't remember the name but the best way to catch fish was to DEADSTICK a SPINNERBAIT. To land a fish you had to fight it until it jumped then reel it in like mad when in the air, completely ridiculous. The sizes were off too on the game....here are some screens I took with my phone
  22. That looks like the same reel to me....for $39 if it holds up it should be a god deal
