  1. I've got Hot Sauce in a Daiwa for about a year. I've also used it in a couple of Quantums. I've seen no negative effects other than it actually stains brass gearing. It is fast stuff, and easy to apply since its RED. I've found better products, some are more suited to high end bearings, and offer no gain on typical OEM bearings. Its always easiest to stick with Shimano for Shimano, Daiwa for Daiwa, etc. but one weird thing - I've never seen a Quantum come off the shelf with Hot Sauce in it. I wonder why? My Energy was sauced in box
  2. I only have a BPS Crankin Stick but it is a great rod for the price...especially when on sale like now
  3. Definitely a sharp reel but I'm sure the price tag is too
  4. I have had many experiences on ebay and none have been bad as of yet. You just have to read carefully. Personally I only use paypal...never western union, especially overseas...I have had friends that have been burned this way. Always check ratings and read feedback to familiarize the workings of the seller. I also usually deal with stores but occasionally will bid from private sellers. This is what I acquired during dec. all items were new...reels with boxes, papers, tools/oils, and registration cards...rods still with factory plastic, tags, and warranties http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1230612436/0
  5. I would recommend the president...The best spinning reel I have used hands down with a low price tag...The quantum incyte is also a great reel
  6. Timmy Horton seems to be getting pretty good at it
  7. Not fished it but have handled it in stores and i can say that if I had the extra cash....I would have one
  8. I actually have fished a wacky rig on a 3/0 ewg then use about an inch or so of an old worm rigged basically texas rigged
  9. I'm gonna say when I've got the cabin fever. Started in the summer when I was cooped up in bed after surgery and not able to fish and now it's winter......... so yeah
  10. At the walmarts near me they have red, yellow, and blue. I have a yellow but out grew it quick. Now I have the browning 3700 bag from bps
  11. definitely looks like some type of norman
  12. I have a 7'MH that is going into rotation as a spinnerbait rod this year...they are a little heavy but used to use mine as a T-Rig rod for larger worms and to fish with at night. a great rod for the price and even though it's a little heavier, balanced right it can be fished with all day
  13. personally, I'm not "sold" on the color. The results posted by KVD in many tournaments with the color are undeniable but he can find and catch the fish using his style when no one else can, like in florida. I do have some sexy shad baits but have yet to really fish them.
  14. Personally, I would use one rigged with a senko type bait and the other a spinnerbait or a shallow diving crank...maybe a baby 1-minus or norman Thin-N
  15. Norman Thin and Mad N Mann's baby 1-minus and C4 elite Bomber Model A
  16. The new Pro Qualifiers are the new Pflueger Presidents and the Johnny Morris Signatures are Pflueger Patriarchs. Pflueger is a pure fishing brand just as Abu Garcia is
  17. x321 :'( it makes me sad
  18. added lunkerville and requested to join Bassresource
  19. Pflueger Patriarch from ebay...if you look around you can get them for less than 130
  20. What did the Carrot Gold cost? 138 from ebay
  21. Of the two stated....the Curado....but you can get a Plueger Patriarch which is probably my favorite reel I have for well under msrp on ebay.
  22. Bought a curado 200e7 on ebay for 150 shipped...The cruxis seems to be a descent reel for 99
  23. HAHA..you're not the only one to make that observation but the energy replaced my old crankin reel and I sold the wide spool to a friends granny for christmas. Simmonssportinggoods is a great store on ebay. The have some good deals and I hear that their customer service is good...although I have had to contact them.
