  1. I thought the SX had a magnetic brake :-? Yes it does. It was the S model I casted. TMTLM syndrome. (Too Many Three Letter Acronyms). Gotcha....I'm not a revo kinda guy but I thought the SX was magnetic...I have casted the SX and the brakes are finicky IMO
  2. I thought the SX had a magnetic brake :-?
  3. would a soft plastic trailer (twin-tail grub, etc) be needed with that jig, or is it ready to throw "as is"? You can fish it bare but a trailer never hurts
  4. How "busy" Strike Kings soft plastic packages are :
  5. I would say the asaro...Have not been disappointed by pflueger yet
  6. Didn't know they had flouro
  7. I use a 6'6'' M for all my shallow and medium crank needs...great rod at a great price....If you are fishing cover or structure...then the heavier rod would be beneficial.
  8. My original thought was 33 because everyone needs to learn on a Zebco... but learning with a president wouldn't be bad...neither would the trion...as long as it doesn't frustrate them when something goes wrong.....you can't mess up a zebco
  9. The old KVD rod with cork? If so...the mojo
  10. My preferences are a 7'H for 10'' worms, carolina rigging, small swimbaits, smaller jigs 7'6''H Flipping Stick for flipping jigs or heavy t-rigs 7'MH for spinnerbaits, deep cranks 6'10''MH for standard 7'' t-rigs, smaller finesse type jigs 6'6''M for lighter T-rigs, tubes, baits in jig heads 6'6'' M Cranking Stick 7'MH spinning rod
  11. Maybe it's a saltwater bait....a Red Eye Flounder? :
  12. I really like Bleeding Hart spinnerbaits...I have rarely thrown anything else
  13. I too would say MH as that is what I have for use with smaller weights : 1/8,3/16,1/4,3/8. However, for larger t-rigs like a 10'' worm or a full size brush hog, I use a 7'H Kistler

  15. I can vouch for the Citori...good reel and works great...just no button....could be an easy fix
  16. Bantam has you covered and from I can tell with people on this site...The only thing US anglers covet from Japanese reels are the colors...not worth the extra $ IMO
  17. With adjustable centrifugal brake is effective even diagonally if you want to cast off the baggy and Thailand. :
  18. I would give the new energy a try in the 5 gear ratio. I have last years model and they can be had on ebay for around $100
  19. I personally enjoy my Pro Qualifier and probably would choose it over the Mojo
  20. The Lightening rods are good....The bps extremes are also good rods for a little more that is
  21. It's definitely a go to bait for me. I've not fished them for very long but sometimes I can get bit on a tube when nothing else works. It's almost a finesse presentation since it's shorter than a worm with a smaller profile than a jig. I fish them both t-rigged and with an inserted jig head
  22. ...and that's fine by me. I have 2 Patriarchs, a President, and now a Supreme. I also have a Curado 200E7 on my flipping stick and an Energy E750PT for cranks but if I had purchased the Patriarchs first, I believe I would have 3.
  23. If you do a search, this topic has been covered many times. I've never fished with either so I won't be much help
  24. Form every thing I have heard, they are great baits. Have not heard any complaints. I don't have one but would really like one even though the fish aren't that big here :-/
  25. As far as I know, a tube imitates a craw and you should really think about fishing one in place of a worm around rocks. They offer a smaller profile than a jig or other flipping baits
