  1. Yea I saw that. I was actually talking about the new Rick Clunn diving series. Thanks, anyone else notice the Lucky Craft prices at their Classic?
  2. Norman quick clips.
  3. I need to buy a pair of boat fenders and would like some input. I mainly fish alone and last year I bought Hull Hugr Contour boat fender @ BPS. They were working great. One day I wasn't paying attention as I was coming into the pier to get off of the water. I came in just a little too fast. The fenders made contact and they just ripped off. Pretty stupid. So, have you used a fender that wraps like the Hull Hugr that is more durable?
  4. My BPS Spring Classic is still a few weeks away. I want to get some Lucky Craft lures and I was wondering if any of the Lucky Craft lures, especially the newer ones (like the Stacy King, Rick Clunn, Skeet or GDS models), are on sale? Thanks.
  5. I'm also a Rapala fan. The best split ring pliers I've ever bought are the long nose Rapala. Buy a pair, you won't be disappointed.
  6. It's almost time to start planning for the upcoming season. What do you plan to do the 1st time out this spring? What would be your lure choices, colors and sizes? Then what will be your strategies and what parts of the lake will you be targeting? I would think the best time of day would be to start at noon, what do you think? I'm curious to see what you suggest so I can maybe try a new approach this year. It's always fun to hear new ideas & try them out. So what do you suggest?
  7. Are buzzbaits a good spring lure?
  8. What about single vs. double buzzbaits? It seems most of you are talking about throwing single buzzbaits. What are the advantages and/or disadvantages about throwing double buzzbaits and when would be the best time to throw them?
  9. Berkley Van Trans for $5, I'll have to look at some of the Walmarts near me (west sub. of Chicago) and see if I can find some at that price.
  10. I can't believe the price of pontoons. My buddy was looking at 25' Verdan and Triton tri-toons, great looking but the price tag is $38,000 and up.
  11. BBZ-1, $44.95 each. Now, I've finally found a lure that I cannot talk myself into buying.
  12. Thanks for all of the suggestions...now on to buy some buzzbaits!
  13. I'm reading these and wondering what size buzzbait do you prefer? Does size matter? Also what about colors.? Like on a cloudy day, I would think you would stay with a blk or blk/chart type buzzbaits. Does the color matter when it comes to clear water vs. cloudy/muddy water?
  14. Why do you like the Moonsault CB350 over say the Flat CB D12? Also, does anyone know the difference between the Moonsault CB350 and the Combat CB?
  15. It's been awhile since I've bought a buzzbait and suddenly have the funds for a few. I'd like to know what you all think is the best buzzbait to get & why. Is there a difference in which buzzbait you get for clear water as compared to murky water? Are some buzzbaits more durable than others after a bass has really smacked it? Let's hear what you have to say.
  16. Thanks Zimmy, I'll look it up right now.
  17. I want to see if there is a more defined electronic chart that also possibly has hot spots type info for 2 different fishing areas. I've got a Lowrance LMS-334C iGPS and have a LakeMaster Pro Map (Wisconsin) chip. What I'm looking for is a chip for Wisconsin and Ontario Canada (Sioux Lookout region) that might have more detail than the lakeMaster. The only ones I've found are the Hot Spots Elite & Pro(for Wisc. only). I haven't found anything for Ontario.
  18. I like Northern Bass also. Easy to deal with & the best selection & prices for Lucky Craft.
  19. I take them to my local bait shop & have them clean my reels up & get them ready for next year. He charges me about $8 per reel. It's a fair price and I don't have to worry if I put the reel back together properly.
  20. Thanks for all of the advice. I'll copy & give to my buddy. The tri-toon sounds like it would be perfect for him.
  21. My buddy across the street has decided to get a new pontoon. He asked me to go with him to some boat shows coming up to find one. He wants a new 25' with a four stroke to use for cruising with the family and to do some fishing. The pontoon will be kept on the water. So far the only advise I've given him is to buy the most hp the boat can handle. Well, a dealer came back & suggested a 300 hp. I think that's overkill and is going to be expensive. I don't know squat about pontoons. So how about some advice on suggested name brands to stick with, what you should add and any other info he could use.
  22. I'm withrw, I use the Lucky Craft VMC's. I also replace some of the rear trebles with red Lucky Craft replacement trebles. The LC VMC's stay sharp for a long time.
  23. Well, if nothing is working, I just dump all of my lures into the water and have them pick the one that they like.
  24. Last summer I purchased a new Lund and had 2 Lowrances (LMS-334C & X102C) installed and love them. The only problem I had was the screens. The face of the screens would constantly show dried water spots which made it difficult at times to see. I tried windex but still kept getting the spots. Just wondering if anyone has used a product that worked and did you have to continue to clean the screen throughout the day?
  25. I bought my new Lund 18' Mr. Pike last summer. One of the reasons why I chose the Lund was the SportTrak that allows you to add tool, cup and rod holders made by Rapala. What I didn't know was how difficult it was to find the different SportTrak items. I did get through my Lund dealer the Rapala tool and tool bracket. Further, Lund explained to me that most people experiment with the SportTrak and attach their own items. In the 2006 and 2007 Lund boat catalog, they would picture a Lund with different items by Rapala on the SportTraks. I couldn't find anyone (mainly on the internet) that carried the other SportTrak items made by Rapala. I contacted Rapala and they were kind enough to send their catalog showing holders & brackets for: cup, rod, 2 different types of tools and tool brackets and a bracket that holds a Lock n' Weigh tool. My question is does anyone know a dealer on line where I can find the different Rapala items for the SportTrak? Also, has anyone attached anything different to the SportTrak brackets?
