  1. I have mine on an X4 Destroyer 7-2.
  2. Short review here. Taken this reel out about three times since I bought it and each time it has blown me away. Had 20-25mph gusts today. With the brakes set correctly I was casting a 5/16oz jig and Baby Rage Craw trailer into the wind without a problem. Paid $220 for it used on EBay and it is definitely worth the money at full price. You can find it online at some Japanese etail sites for about $270. If you've been on the fence about this real now is the time to buy before the yen starts to go up higher against the dollar. Just my two cents, hope it was helpful. By brakes,I mean the setting dial on the side of the reel.
  3. 2 more Megabass rods to add to the collection.
  4. New from the designer of Pixie Sticks.
  5. The short answer Because we can
  6. I like the prices on JPangler better. Japan Tackle just happened to have the pics out first.
  7. Scroll down for the pic. I'm very excited and am saving up my pennies. http://www.japantackle.com/Tackleinformation/TackleShow2015.htm
  8. Yes if it's a First Generation Cumara. From what I've heard, you should stay away from the GL2's.
  9. Bet he was glad you happened to be there.
  10. It's just another tool in the bag. It's not a magic bullet. If they wanna ban it in tournaments. That's their prerogative and I have no problem with it. It's up to everyone's personal preference. I have a few that have never hit water yet that I plan on trying out just to see.
  11. Please tell me how the Rarenium works out for you. It's on my shortlist.
  12. Learned to retie every once in awhile after my buddy lost a good fish at Pond X due to line failure.
  13. Always do the $200 rod if it's a quality rod. It'll keep you out of the upgrade cycle and save you money in the long run.
  14. The average angler will never be priced out. For as long as there is a market, a manufacturer or group of manufacturers will be there to serve them. That being said, Bass Resource does not cater to the average angler. I would say we are in the 5% of the market that is catered to by the Cabela's, Bass Pro's and Tackle warehouses of the world. Some of us might fit in to the .5% that pays more than $200 for a rod or reel. For us fishing is not just a hobby, but a passion and we are willing to spend accordingly to pursue that. There's a reason the Ugly Stik is the best selling rod brand year in and year out.
  15. Swing Impact Fat gets my vote.
  16. Two Cumara 7-4 rods and a Megabass F6-72X4 Destruction have been added in the past week alone.
  17. Keitech Easy Shiners and Swing Impact Fats.
  18. I love new models coming out. It means the stuff I've had my eye on cam now be bought at a discount.
  19. There's a small pond by my old high school that gets stocked 2 or 3 times in the winter with trout. Time for me to order a few 6 inch Savage Gear Line Thru Trouts. I'
  20. If it's been done enough they might associate the vibrations caused by the trout truck with food being brought. The same way that farm raised catfish know the pellet truck shows up.
  21. The best part about fishing is that there is a budget for everyone. You're only priced out if you try to fish above your means.
  22. Three years ago I asked Bantam for higher gear ratio TE-GT and my dream is finally becoming a reality. On a side note, some things I will have to without around the house. New pants, new shoes and maybe some basic foodstuffs will have to be foregone.
  23. Finally found 2 7'-4" first gen Cumara's and Might be buying another Megabass rod this Saturday too.
