    I just spent $275 on Shimano Scorpion DC7 that I've waited a few months to buy. From all the reviews on this reel I think it's money well spent. It's a matter of personal preference. When someone says overpriced, it is usually when expectations and results don't match.

    Welcome to the pack, I would never pony up because I thought they cost too much. Then I did the math, my time catching fish is worth more than pinching pennies and they have worked when other lures failed.

    I have 2 Calcutta TE's and 4 older silver models. I am sending them out to be cleaned. I am going to have the bearings upgraded in the silver Calcuttas, will it benefit me to have them upgraded in my TE's?
