Hey everyone... I was wondering what your thoughts would be on bass fishing deep water anywhere from 100 to 300 feet deep... I am getting in a tournament in april in summersville wv and that is the round about depth and I am used to fishing in about 30 feet water and was needing some ideas on how to fish deep waters and what seems to work best.. thanks for the help

I am kind of new to bass fishing.. well I have fished my whole life.. but my grandfather left me his nx 750 nitro bass boat when he passed away in may... so there ya go... anyways I live in wv and I was wondering if anyone that lives here or around here can tell me when it would be a good time to get the boat back out and do some fishing... ive never fished in the cold weather so i was wondering what time of year is good to get back at it.. thanks

This weekend I took my father and father in law on a fishing trip to the greenbrier river camp ground in greenbrier county wv, absolutely beautiful. the owner of the camp ground took us up stream 11 miles and dropped us and the raft we rented form him off and we floated 9 hours back to the camp and we caugth more fish in 9 hours than most people catch in 5 years. I would be willing to say we proally caught about 70-80 smallmouth and rock bass.. there were times all three of us had fish at the same time.. at one point I caught four fish back to back.. we were using the knock off spider jigs pumpkin color with red flake.. unbelievable.. I would recommend this trip to anyone that loves fishing.. I am definately going back.. all the fish we caught were smaller bass about 8- 12 inches which dont matter to me I would rather catch them all day long then catch one 5 pounder.. wish I had some pics next time I will get some for everyone.... if anyone is gonna be in wv or around wv and is interested let me knwo and I can give you the number of the gy who rents the camp sites and canoe and rafts.

I will be fishing In the kanawha river in west virginia, The water will be pretty clear and the water level would be about right we havent got any large amounts of rain, someone told me to use flukes and drag them across the rocks, but Im not real sure how to fish them

I am getting ready to fish in my first tournament, I was wonering what is some of your favorite lures and how do you fish them, right now I have pumpkin seed fat alberts, black spider gigs with red sparkle, pumpkin seed tubes with chrt skirts, and a few diff spinners, what else do you think I should get to be prepared for the tourney

Hey guys what size and brand fishing line do you suggest me using in this tournament I am about to enter, Im fishing in the kanawha river in wv and its not known for monster bass, so I didnt want to go to thin or to thick, I am using an open face reel, I would like to get to know how to use a bait caster.. if you could give me some pointers on using a bait caster That would be nice.. I heard they nest up pretty easy.. any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have been fishing almost all my life with my grandfather, and recently he passed away. He always fished in local bass tournaments and in memory of him I wanted to start fishing in the ones he did, He left his boat to me, so I want to put it to good use. My question is what kind of lures is best to use, its in a river and im not sure what works best and the best places to troll are.. where do the bass lay on rivers, is there any techniques that are perferred, any advice at all on tourney fishing would be greatly appreciated
