  1. Like you @SC53, I can go fishing on any day ending in “y” year round, for which I’m fortunate. As others have stated, fuel costs are a big part of things for both my boat and truck. I’m guessing I average a least $200 on fuel between the two, not including the $15 launch fees which is just part of doing business. *edit- $200 on fuel per month
  2. Ehhh, like you said it’s a minor detail but I’m glad to see you’re paying attention 👍. It’s still a 1715 start time, and I’m happy it’s not on that MetLife artificial grass.
  3. Brandon Aiyuk is signed, Ricky Pearsall fortunately is OK, projected to miss four weeks of games and Trent Williams contract situation resolved. Nice to be moving forward towards Monday night’s game in New York. Go Niners!
  4. We’ve got two grand dogs with great temperaments. One which makes a beeline to the pool, only to stand on the pool stairs with water up to his belly. The other is a non-stop fetching machine when not retrieving his pool toy is focused on his archenemy, “Herby” the pool sweep.
  5. Woooo Hoooo! d**n nice when Christmas comes early! Congrats on the new additions
  6. Ya know, I think it’s really nice in the last few weeks of summer when alarm clock goes off at 0330 and I could turn it off, go back to sleep because there’s no 0500 sunrise. So when I finally get out of the rack, get underway and missing the morning topwater bite is an afterthought. When I get to the launch ramp I find no sign of a breeze, the tide has about an hour left before it bottoms out and almost 73 degree water temps. Good thing the fish were unaware of this, that air temps were gonna hit 98 degrees, because the bite was pretty good. Best fish of the day was a 4.29lber punching and a 4.58lber on a GYCB stickbait.

  11. Absolutely. When Mrs B and I were at that point in our lives we went in a similar but different direction. And then we ended up pivoting again when she determined resort camping was the best option outta the three for us. Bottom line as to which one is best I’d say we could all agree is, “happy wife, happy life”. Again, congrats to both of you and great fishing!
  12. I don’t know @Randy Price, other than a little slice of heaven that’s hopefully only about 10 minutes to get the boat’s skeg wet. Congratulations to you and Mrs Price on your weekend retreat!
  13. Congratulations @ATAon your new ride as we know it cost a pretty penny! And I know it’s pretty quick, but l’m sticking with the 6.2L in my Sierra for towing the boat. Again, congrats!
  14. Hello @JClouseau42 from Northern California, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums! Some of your trout gear, such as in-line spinners like Roostertails and Mepps, spoons, small crankbaits and jerkbaits (if you have them) might help fill the gap as you build your arsenal. And you’ve probably got a spinning rod that can throw a senko, drop shot or split shot rig. Just my 02. Anyway, good luck and good fishing!
  15. While it was over 60 years ago, as the young son of a U.S. Marine I did have a lot of unique experiences and memories of living in the PI.
  16. San Diego Jam for mono, fluoro, braid
  17. Same here. Remember way back when I was knee high to a tadpole bunka boat and Kalesa cart rides and a small piece of sugar cane in my hand.
  18. They sure won’t fit on a Jeepney

  22. I do, and have been for years. I keep a couple in the boat and a bunch laying around various places in the garage. Whether or not using a Sharpie on your faded braid helps can be debated, but as far as I’m concerned it sure doesn’t hurt. I even use it on my frog bellies and legs to add a little contrast.
  23. Hey @TankGeek, hello from up here in the northern portion of the Valley! Welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums!
  24. @throttleplate, is that a counter battery radar unit for the M777 in the foreground?
  25. I’ll say C-17
