  1. Hello @Darrell Ethridge from Northern California! Welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. Nice looking, well chewed on Strike King rip bait
  2. Hello @LrgmouthShad from Northern California! Welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums
  3. To me it looks more like an updated Toyota FJ Cruiser. IMHO, there’s only one Jeep
  4. Mr Jones the bait monkey won’t let that happen. I’ve got a pile of TW receipts to confirm it ?
  5. I didn’t too @Stef Duncan, I have some old Fenwick’s and completely understand the sentimental value. Unfortunately, my Fenwick’s are different models. Fenwick’s customer service department should be of some help to you, not sure of what the shipping cost would be. And welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums
  6. Sorry to hear about your brother and friends @Harold Scoggins. Congratulations on your new ride, nothing like stylish comfort to and from the lake.
  7. Congratulations @the reel ess on that big girl and new Personal Best! Happy to see you updated the PB section of your avatar, and welcome to the 8+ club!
  8. Amber or copper as recommended for low light or overcast conditions
  9. *$503 million for 10 years, with $477 guaranteed per Yahoo Sports...Whatever amount it’s a boat load of money.
  10. I just read Mahomes just signed a 10 year, $400 million contact. Congratulations to him
  11. Happy Birthday America! To fellow BR members and your families, have a great 4th of July holiday. And to those protecting her at home and abroad, be safe and thank you for your service....
  12. I finally was able to get out on the water this morning, which at times is something that I would take for granted. Leaving the dock, the water was a balmy 75 degrees and change, a barely noticeable breeze wasn’t affecting the surface and was in the middle of an outgoing tide. The topwater bite at first light was pretty good, I got on a plopper and buzz bait bite that produced some quality fish. I then picked up a crankbait rod and fired it out. Two handle turns, the rod loads and she starts digging for deep water. When I am able to end the battle and lip her into the boat I got to see she really wanted that particular bait. She weighed a healthy 5.4lbs, posed for pics and was released...
  13. Congratulations @RoLo on your 56th wedding anniversary! Cheers to both of you and wish you many more future celebrations
  14. Probably cashed in a Round Tuit Tom, good stuff ?
  15. Sorry to hear of your loss @slonezp
  16. @Smells like fish, ya think Spike It dye would work?
  17. Whopper Plopper Bladed Jig 6” GYCB Stick Worm
  18. @DFWbassin, as others a mentioned your rod should arrive in something like this. I don’t think you have too much to worry about other than when you’ll be able to fish it.
  19. Gonna say the reel is a Lew’s @flipflops, and pure speculation is that’s probably an 8’6” salmon/steelhead rod with micro guides. Sorry I can’t help with manufacturer. Hopefully some other BR members can point ya in the right direction. Good luck and good fishing to you and your friend
  20. Hello @AlexB. from Northern California, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. I have never fished in Elsinore, but I’d be inclined to throw a 5” green pumpkin senko, a dropshot with a 6” MMIII Roboworm, and a Ned rig to start. Hopefully @WRB or some of the SoCal guys will see this thread and can provide better information. Good luck and good fishing.
  21. Good looking stuff in the background @TnRiver46, stay on ‘em!
  22. @Jim Sutter I throw the larger size Pompadour when I throw it, so I can’t speak on the junior version. For me the Pompadour is a spot/location bait during low light conditions and not something for covering water which other topwater options are better suited. As @walleyecrazy recommended bone, I’ll throw bone or a black Pompadour on a slow, agonizing “crawl” seems to elicit some surprisingly violent strikes from bass looking for an easy meal. Good times and good fishing
  23. The forerunner of the flippin’ switch?
  24. Out on the water chasing green fish I like to bring either a few *Smuckers Uncrustables or a couple of fried egg sandwiches, beef jerky, dried mangoes and a Snickers bar. A cup of coffee or two to start the day, and water and diet soda to drink. Going out salmon or rock cod fishing in the salt, I’ll bring some hard boiled eggs, a couple of tuna & onion sandwiches, a couple of salami and cheese sandwiches, apples, water, diet sodas and a thermos of coffee. *IMHO a pretty good alternative to making pb&j sandwiches, they’re frozen and thaw out in the cooler ready to eat traveling between fishing spots
