  1. @RenzokukenFisher congratulations on your new PB! Great way to start off 2021!
  2. Congratulations on the new ride @A-Jay, the AT4 is pretty sweet! And I want to say “thanks” for posting of its pending arrival in the “Winter Purchase Plans” thread. It set in motion my own new GMC Sierra acquisition. Happy motoring!
  3. A Gremlin was an AMC (American Motors Corporation) product. As was the Pacer, which some guy built a 6’ sandwich in the backseat in a TV commercial to demonstrate how roomy it was for a subcompact. And I really appreciate @TnRiver46 for his creativity in giving the folks at the call center something to talk about?
  4. Beautiful fish @Bluebasser86 and your big girl is testament to C&R and the fishery. Just curious how much weight, if any, she gained in between photo ops and if it was in the same general area.
  5. Italian Slough or maybe Bethany Reservoir (if it’s not too windy) might be worth a look Gaiter
  6. Thanks, that’s really good to hear! I figured I should come up with a solution more commensurate with my age ?.
  7. Granted it’s not tackle my friends, but I thought this was worth posting. I wrenched my knee pretty good almost two weeks ago, I had to come up with a better way of getting out of the boat once I’ve driven her up on the trailer. So I went with the Trick Step ladder. Other than filing down the area between the winch tower supports for a crush block, I took about 20 minutes to install it....
  8. It started with “just one” for a lot of us. You’re gonna like the one ten almost as much as the fish do ?
  9. I’m gonna go with a 7” senko or a jig. And then there are days when this thing really shined...
  10. I’d give Mercury a call as I believe Mercury /Mariner were the basically the same, just badged differently. Maybe @Way2slow or some of the knowledgeable BR contributors will see your thread and be of help. Good luck on your project and keep us apprised of the progress.
  11. Congratulations on the new rid @Rob A! And a First Aid kit and a trailerable boat cover, the latter is something I regret not getting to save some money.
  12. Show up with 20 bucks and bark a little?
  13. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say the quarterback who grew up in California is gonna lead his team to this year’s Super Bowl. Just a hunch ?
  14. I’m thinking it’s gonna be between “I’m outta here” to “I’m hungry”. Once during a team tournament, my buddy released a culled fish and returned to fishing. On his first cast on a dropshot, he hooks up. We boat the bass and we start to debate whether or not it’ll help the cause. As he is unhooking the fish, he says he just released that fish so he knows won’t help. Naturally I found that hard to believe, and he pointed out the cull clip hole when it first visited the live well.
  15. I always appreciated your insight and perspective @Oregon Native, I and others are better for it. Rest In Peace Gary Yexley....
  16. For me @NavyVet1204, it’s a Lew’s Shakey Head Special spinning rod. Action and sensitivity I’d equate to fishing with a pool cue. The epoxy on the rod guides started to crack and I emailed their customer service twice and included pictures. I even called their customer service number in the hope someone could answer my questions and got voicemail. They must be really busy because I’ve still haven’t received a reply....
  17. Wish you nothing but the best possible outcome @OnthePotomac, and a second opinion is sound advice and peace of mind.
  18. Glad to hear you have been successful at Contra Loma @Noah_033008, and if you can get there easily I’d continue to fish it. In the next four months a potential double digit PB is just a cast away, but patience will be key. By the way, a couple of the local high schools have teen fishing teams that primarily fish the delta. They may have websites where you can contact members that can answer your questions. And before I forget, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums ....
  19. A cup of Peet’s coffee with a little cream and sugar if it’s available, if not black is just fine.
  20. Congratulations to you and your partner on your tournament win. IMHO, I think you owe it to yourselves to see how well you two could do the next derby. After all did get the seed money from the first tournament, so the entry fee won’t weigh to heavy on your wallets. And you did get a chance to “experiment” by successfully fishing what “6-8 boats” considered unproductive water and landing good fish. Again, congratulations on putting the winning pieces together. I do understand your reasons for not fishing tournaments. Fishing does provide a solitude away from the radio and the responsibilities that come with it. Nothing like quiet and being with ones own thoughts. Be safe and continued good fishing
  21. We’re all in your corner and expect to hear good news!
  22. No real complaints worth voicing about Winter 2020-2021 at present. Stay safe everyone....
  23. It would be wise to follow state regulations if the organization wants to continue to host tournaments. Most black bass tournament orgs in California put in the rules that fish must be hooked inside the mouth.
  24. Took mine out. Figured it was better for a big fish to have the whole live well to swim around in than half of it. Especially if you’re fishing a tournament and you’ve sacked up two limits. This 5 seemed just fine
  25. *spawn = sight fishing
