  1. Considering the size of those TX fish, and I think you’ll agree @12poundbass, we’d all be willing to find out! Hopefully they pull like a freight train with an ability to throw in some aerial acrobatics to keep things interesting ?
  2. Hello @bulldog78, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. If you’re willing to making a little trip of if, maybe check out Del Valle Reservior out of Livermore. Shore fishing, picnic, overnight camping rental boats and alot of families from the South Bay/ San Jose area enjoy this park. And at the intersection of Mines and Mendenhall Rd you’d usually (pre-pandemic) find 5-10 guys flying RC gliders there because of the perfect conditions. As for the fishing license question, you no longer have to display it visually upon your person. However, it is a good idea to keep it in your wallet so it isn’t forgotten or lost...
  3. @schplurg, if you’re looking for south delta areas to shore fish, maybe check out Bethany Reservior or Italian Slough/ Clifton Court Forebay just past Lazy M Marina or Victoria Canal. As @camman suggested, drive the levies and if an area looks good, just stop a fish it. A cayak or a float tube might be a future option to cover more water once you’ve found areas you like...
  4. Nice fish @Ski, stay on those big girls! I might suggest posting some of those pics on the “latest catch picture” thread as well cause you’ve been on a roll sir!
  5. Went out for a few hours. Best fish boated was this 3.3lber that liked a Phenix bladed jig ?
  6. Congrats Tom on your second shot. I’m looking forward to getting it by June, and like my flu shot it’ll be in my casting arm. Which will give me another reason to get on the water ?
  7. I have both Oakley’s and a pair of Costas, so I think I’ve got bright sunny and low light/overcast days covered. The Oakley’s sport Revant Elite polarized replacement lenses. *Last fall I got hit in the eye by a bug/bee while driving the boat out fishing. It wasn’t until later that I discovered the damage to my three week old lenses, which did their job in protecting my eyes. I contacted Revant, explained the circumstances and in a couple of days I had a new set lenses.
  8. I just wanted to say “THANKS” @Dirtyeggrollfor all you and the frontline healthcare professionals having been dealing with during this past year. I appreciate your post for bringing some clarity to this tread. As for getting vaccinated, I’m hoping for sometime before June. Be well...
  9. Looking more like the bite is gonna continue to get better. I found 55 degree water at the top of the tide and my best fish, this healthy 4.5lber ate an Evergreen chatterbait...
  10. Klamath River
  11. I stand corrected sir
  12. I think Wentz is now in a better position to be successful. The pieces are n place around him in Indy to resurrect his career and it didn’t cost the Colts too much capital in my opinion. As for Jalen Hurts liking to run, two other similar Philly quarterbacks come to mind. Randall Cunningham and Donovan McNabb were very good but never made it to a Super Bowl. Of course the talking heads are debating what my team is gonna do with Jimmy G. The draft will hopefully bring bring all us some clarity regarding respective our teams.
  13. Hey @Guitarfish, good luck with your move. I don’t think you’ll need to trade any of your tackle just yet. I don’t know how far you might be willing to drive. There is black bass in Irongate, which used to hold local club tournaments. Copco probably has bass as well. Both dams however are scheduled to be removed in the next couple of years. A little further south is Shastina, Trinity, and of course Shasta. By the way, Klamath River salmon and trout love Panther Martin lures...
  14. The last series that was surprising interesting, “Vikings” from the History Channel (2013-2020). I know there’s at least one other BR member who has watched it....
  15. In addition to these fine retailers @A-Jayprovided and a lot of us frequent; Outdoor Pro Shop (also known as Monster Tackle) Midway USA @Tramp, I can understand your frustration with having a TW wishlist cleared out or deleted. It’s happened to me. But I also know if I long into my TW account, I can access all my wishlists, see what I need, what I thought I wanted, and what I’ve purchased over the years...
  16. An interesting topic @DitchPanda and one the Mrs and I have had while we look for something to binge watch as we shelter in place. Some series have run their coarse, others we’re waiting on the next season to be released. A couple of shows in the former, “The Man in the High Castle”, “Game of Thrones” and the later, “Yellowstone” and “Bosch”. Hey, IMHO that’s why you get a hi-def television...
  17. I had an overcast day with air temperature in the low 60’s, water right around 51 and a few trees around the neighborhood and local orchards with flowers starting to pop. First rod I picked up to start off with had a crankbait I tied on as an afterthought. It was the ticket for some dark green bass, the biggest going 3.0lbs that hit right at the boat.
  18. A Jitterbug like these, which haven’t played in the water since probably 1966-67. However, one day that I may change...
  19. The closest it’s happened prior is as @gimruissaid in Super Bowl XIV in Pasadena the Steelers beat the LA Rams 31-19 and Super Bowl XIX which was held at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto and the 49ers beat Miami 38-16.
  20. My first and only fish to start off 2021 was this 2.8lber that ate a jerkbait. Just happy to have an opportunity to be on the water and land a cooperative fish.
  21. Well said @RichF
  22. Isn’t that Spring break time on Havasu?
  23. The technology side of things was a big surprise for me going from a 2001 Yukon XL to the new Sierra. I’m sure a little more comfortable with it than I was, but it’s fun. The HUD, Adaptive Cruise Control, the trailering options, and gobs of power to enjoy and a little better fuel economy compared to the 6.0. And the Start/Stop stutoff feature got me the first time driving solo due to being technologically challenged at the time ?. Looking forward to your thoughts on the trailering aspects of the new truck
  24. Hey @Wcarman, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. I just say you handled the situation as you saw fit and what you said above in my opinion is spot-on. Being a co-angler is challenging, and the water behind the console is yours to fish on either side of the boat. The boater had the first opportunity (goes without saying) to pick the side of the bank, the technique, and pace in which to fish. You were just fishing what he left you to fish. I hope you continue to fish tournaments and good luck in your next derby.
  25. Great news for you and your family! Thanks forward letting us know
