  1. If you just want to stop the vinyl from tearing, I’ve used Krazy Glue in the seam to do this with good success.
  2. Happy anniversary @whitwolf to you and the Mrs!
  3. TW reel covers for both baitcasting and spinning reels and TW rod sleeves for the corresponding rods. Just trying to protect my tackle investment (which I should’ve done sooner) and one or two every order can help with hitting the free shipping threshold.
  4. @BadFishesOnly It’s been my experience that is you have enough water under the hull at low speeds you trim the motor down. It allows for a better hole shot and allows for better maneuvering. Otherwise as you found out the boat will start to porpoise. It’s part of the learning curve of familiarizing yourself with a new boat on how it performs and handles. Congratulations on getting your new boat and welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums.
  5. They kinda look like fish tacos to me ?
  6. Getting out at first light this morning paid off with this heavy 7.2lb senko fish. I gotta say it was kinda interesting fighting a fish, especially one this size on “spot lock” as she went around and under the boat before coming to net.
  7. Congratulations @HaydenS to you and your partner on the tourney win. Putting your heads down on just grinding on Day 2 is what a good team does, well done!
  8. “Is it a skunk if you hook but lose them?” I kinda use the “hungry” method @BrianMDTX to answer this question when I have a tough day on the water. If I was fishing for my dinner, would I be going hungry that night? This mindset usually motivates me to keep fishing until I land that one fish which would fulfill my imaginary “dinner” requirement. Granted, the weather, lockjaw, wrong baits, dull hooks, long range catch-n-release, and various other reasons factor into a tough day on the water. That’s when I’m glad I’m not fishing for dinner, that it was nice getting opportunity to fish and I’ll get em next time.
  9. Thanks for the assist @heavyduty. Just fill out the form and follow the shipping instructions
  10. I feel your pain @Smokinal. I was up at Clear Lake a couple weeks ago and was on great early morning jerkbait bite when the bill of my Vision 110 broke for some unknown reason. It was the only one I had at the time and the only color they seemed to want. Sent it off to Megabass on the recommendation of the guide I fished with and am waiting for Megabass’ response. After all, it’s worth a shot to see if Megabass will repair or replace the lure in my opinion.
  11. I’ll raise my hand @Joedodge. Bought some knockoff rage bugs that were a unique color over the winter. I wanted to give them a try punchin’ this summer and figured for the price it was worth a shot.
  12. So there are birdhouses, wood duck and owl boxes, and these two Canadian geese have expanded things by nesting on top of this shed…
  13. Ah, the tale of two days of fishing. Went out after a front moved through and my best bite of the morning I broke off setting the hook. A couple of rats were all I could put in the the boat to keep the skunk outta the boat. The next morning with the tide being a half hour laterI headed to the same bank anticipating the bite changing from the previous day. My first cast produced a dark, football shaped 3.2lb fish that choked my offering. I had to don my prescription glasses and perform (successfully) hook removal surgery. After releasing my patient and retying, I caught a 14” fish outta the same hole. I figured I had to see if the spot would continue to produce so I fired back up in there. I felt a tick and as I gathered line my rod loaded and after a great battle of bulldogging under the boat I netted hefty 6.1lber that appeared ready to pop. As the tide bottomed out, I did land a beautiful 5.6lber that fought extremely hard before coming to net. Just kinda crazy how drastically different two days on the water can be and I’m glad for the experience.
  14. Hello @IowaBassman from Northern California, welcome Chris to the world of the retirement and Bass Resource and the Forums
  15. Most are universal fit due to adjustable straps
  16. That’s one fat spot! Congratulations @thediscochef on your new PB!
  17. Congratulations on the new boat @ATA, it’s definitely gonna open up some of your local waters. My first boat was a U shaped Caddis float tube. Good times. And as @Hammer 4 mentioned, diver fins are the way to go. US Diver rocket fins work well and can be found used on eBay for around $30. Some neoprene dive booties to go with some dry waders and you’ll be very comfortable out on the water. Good luck and good fishing!
  18. @Catt, glad to hear your doing well and are getting cared for by the best Cardiologists available to you. The BR community wish you a speedy recovery
  19. If I squint real hard, I think I can see some people out there in the distance. Not sure what’s going on, fishing, a pick-up hockey game, motor sports or just lounging with a barley pop…
  20. d**n!!!! That was my first reaction when I saw those pictures @TravisVirginiaAnglerof those big ole red tailed pigs. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on your incredible big fish roll we ALL want to have our next time on the water.
  21. I think it’s pretty much a typical early spring @Darth-Baiter, even though I normally get a little impatient with the drought heightened stretch of good weather we’ve been enjoying. I experienced a good bite last week up at Clear Lake, the delta is starting to turn on as should area lakes. It’s just a matter of more spending time on the water. Good fishing
  22. @WRB, just continue to share your experiences and knowledge. Those who choose to take that wisdom will be better because of it, the few that don’t do so to their detriment.
  23. I’m still predominantly using PowerPro. I can pretty much find it everywhere, it’s relatively affordable and I’m familiar with how it’s going to preform in different technique applications.
  24. Looks like smoke and purple flake @fantasy19 GYCG 9S-10-157
  25. @A-Jay, is that the same one offered at Tackle Trap and Tackle Warehouse or is it a completely different pattern/color scheme?
