For me it was mostly a first of the year shake down trip and run some gas through the motor. I did wet a line but didn’t get bit on what I was throwing.
*grass was very green and healthy looking.
I definitely like a good tuna and onion sandwich from canned tuna and canned anchovies added to a Caesar salad. Smoked oysters are tasty, sardines and crackers aren’t bad depending on the amount of available beer.
These get farmed and canned in the good ole USA for export. Too bad the fishery off the coast crashed….
That’s ok, it’s Tennessee sipping whiskey. I guess I could said “two fingers of JD, neat and a water back. As a young man I was told if you didn’t have a lot of money in your pocket order that or on the rocks. I do prefer my scotch neat as well but hey, to each their own.
*Another ”old man drink”, a Cuba Libra…
True dat. I place and order in December and one at the beginning of January and both took almost two weeks because the orders were shipped from Georgia. The warehouse in SLO is about four hours drive from my house. So I guess if you live east of the Mississippi your TW order will getting delivered in record time.
*full disclosure, one (1) jig of the January order did ship from SLO…
Beautiful reels @Johnbt, and I apologize for the above rant..
Yes, to switch between the big motor battery and the trolling motor batteries. Added insurance in the event that the big motor battery can’t/won’t start it due to be run down. Nothing like running livewell pumps and graphs all day never leaving an area because the bite was so good. Then get ready to head back to the ramp and hit the start button and all you hear is silence…. Having one of those puppies definitely provides peace of mind IMO.
The salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, striped bass and American shad all need to get to the rivers from the ocean. But it’s definitely a talking point of Big Ag in the San Joaquin valley in conjunction with SoCal development.
Kinda crazy how the NFL front office would botch that so bad after the “Super Wildcard Weekend” promotion of the expanded playoffs.
*I think the Atlanta game tickets were announced before the wildcard games
I couldn’t agree more @gimruis as the injury to the Niners Trey Lance running inside is more proof to your point.
I’m definitely looking forward to this Sunday’s game against Dallas. This Niners team is better than the 2021 team that beat the Cowboys in Dallas, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
Speaking of this weekend’s playoff games, it was nice of the NFL to notify the Kansas City and Buffalo fans that the AFC Championship Game will be played in Atlanta, or did I get that wrong…
A 7% interest rate on a boat loan is probably the going rate given the current state of the economy. A couple years ago a boat loan was around 4-5% depending on your credit, the length of the loan and how much you put down. Which is definitely better than the 16.75% interest rate for our first house. Every time I think of that rate I just gotta shake my head
