I started to keep my reel boxes. Probably because I threw away the boxes my Lunker Punkers and Shellcrackers came in. Throwing those presentation boxes was a smart move on my part.

Like @A-Jay recommends, chuck that jar of Smelly Jelly in the ice chest when it becomes that soupy mess in the summers heat. I’ve gotten away from SJ and went with Pro-Cure or Megastrike, both of which might be on ice in the heat if need be.

Hang in there @Darth-Baiter, I think you and the Mrs are gonna get tired of Door Dash, GrubHub, Uber Eats and all the other delivery services at the end of it. Bass Resource and YouTube made things bearable regarding the fishing jones and you can look forward to the bite getting better. Unfortunately, it was my experience to have 10 days of these before one came back negative.

I have a pair of polarized prescription Costas after years of being resistant to the idea. They’re blended bifocals and weren’t cheap, but the more I wear them the more I appreciate having them while fishing. Before it was take off my polarized Oakley sunglasses, put on my prescription glasses to retie a knot or re-rig. In my experience, the best polarization glasses (prescription or not) are like the “best” life vest, they’re only good if you wear them.

I like a little salt and pepper on the medium grilled beef patties a slice of sharp cheddar or American cheese yellow mustard and some ketchup on top of the cheese slice a slice of onion, a slice of tomato and a couple of dill pickle slices a little mayo on the bun and I’ll have two cause they’re tasty and go well with B&M baked beans

^ X2. @Capt Steve it kinda the cost of doing business with the Opti. I was paying close to $35 a gallon for bulk to keep my 5 gallon tank close to full, but in my opinion it’s cheap insurance. My ‘04 had 923 hours on the original powerhead when I sold it and attribute that in part to using the Mercury Optimax oil.

I started off my fishing morning with a cup of coffee and a quick check on BR for motivational reports and latest techniques the fish are chewing on. In doing so I gotta say props to @thediscochef for landing two 7 lbers (cause it ain’t easy) and everyone’s posting a bunch pictures of of solid, thick bass. So armed with motivation from the previous day’s success I was greeted with overcast skies with a high of 75, down from yesterday’s 86 (it should be in the mid 90’s), a steady breeze out of northwest to keep things interesting and an incoming tide I headed out. And it was nice to be rewarded when the tide turned with a 5.2lb on a GYCB stickbait that sent her bulldogging through the grass before I was able to lip her into the boat and make my day. Continued good fishing all!

For me today my best bite was on mean 2lb fish in the primrose mats on a Googan creature bait. My best fish of the day was a 5.4lb that inhaled a senko.

Naw, @RB 77didn’t. When Lacob bought the Dubs he said that they would eventually be moving back to San Francisco, which is where they were originally based. I did see my first Warriors game in “The City” at the Cow Palace.

I really don’t like the above mentioned chains pizza. IMHO, other than being everywhere and being relatively inexpensive their pizzas lack flavor. If I’m getting a pizza from a restaurant chain, it’ll be Round Table or Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria.
