  1. here is one of my fav pitching rigs Havoc Pit Boss with addition of new boss hub & skirt. The skirt is a all-terrain skirt.
  2. Just got me a Nichols flutter spoon and was curious on how to hook it up. Do you use a swivel snapped onto spoon or put a swivel about 1ft up and use a leader? I wouldn't think direct tie would be best option bc of spoon spinning so much during a retrieve causing line twist. I hate using swivels at all but i can see where it would work best in this case.
  3. I just got my boss hubs and skirts in today! Boy does it looks nice when paired with your fav soft plastic! Cant wait to try it out this weekend! Thanks for the tip!
  4. nice work!
  5. Ive been trying to get a 735 for the last month or so...My last one i ordered was broke during shipping. I returned it then they told me Dobyns would be out of the 735 for few weeks. Im still waiting for it!
  6. My rod/reel ended up catching wind and flying out the back of truck breaking the handle. Where's a good place to pick up spare handle. I checked eBay and didn't have much of anything for handles.
  7. I think cranking rods have to have some kinda bend to them, but its not no wet noodle feel like your talking. I throw 6xd's and is not bent over like your saying.
  8. WTG!!
  9. I think you will like the 765 glass it has softer tip to let the crank do its searching and doesn't rip the crank out the fishes mouth bc rod loads up alot better. But has enough back bone to get the fish in no prob. I can cast a mile with this thing. Ive noticed that the fish normally have the crank deeper in their mouth since using the glass rod. Personally i love it.
  10. Dobyns 765 glass my fav crankin rod!
  11. welcome!
  12. Gander Mountain is closing its store in Hanover County and Green Top Sporting Goods is moving in there, the company announced this afternoon. Green Top, a fixture on U.S. 1 for decades, will relocate to Gander Mountain's 67,000-square-foot store in the NorthCross Center. "We have outgrown the facility and are unable to continue to serve coustomers in the best way without getting some additional space," said Bill Prout, president and chief financial officer of Green Top Sporting Goods. "We intend to continue to provide that level of service that our customers are used to." http://www2.timesdis...g-g-ar-1956017/

  15. Im telling you its no gimmick you will love it! Ive since ordered 2 more! I put one connected to my tackle bag and one on the pole to my fishing seat! Cord comes out about 3ft? Gives you a clean cut every time, will even cut through knots. My partner seen mine and didn't think much of it, after a days use he bought him one. The lil serrated blades stay sharp!
