  1. I was wondering how many of you fish with those lil butt seats and how you like them? I like idea of having something to lean on while standing with out all the bulkness of a seat with a back on it. Just curious on everyones opinion...
  2. I have new Grizzly 1448 and looking into getting deck mount trolling motor. I never used the powerdrive type but have used cable type. I like idea of being able to move pedal around on boat and not have to fight big cable, but i heard steering is diff and takes getting use to. Just wondering what most of you guys have and what style you like better? pros/cons?
  3. Hey sam How do you access this section by hug. bridge? do you have to go down by pony pasture and go up?? im guessing can only access with yak or canoe? And the z dam is that just up from pony pasture?
  4. hope they were released back into lake, like most i hate to see big fish like that be taken out. Seems like briery is starting to turn on!
  5. yea they always act really cool when there givin you a ticket ;D.
  6. From Watkins Landing down to Boshers dam you can use any kinda boat bc its deeper in that section alot deeper then above watkins. I say about 2-3mi up from watkins you will start to hit rocks, rapids , and riffles and gets REALLY shallow. I wouldnt recomend a fiberglass boat or larger bass boat above watkins as thats when starts to get shallow and get into some rocks. If you had a jon boat or one of those rhino jet bass boats you can manuver your way up river. Now maidens landing , west view and on up i DEF wouldnt recomend a large bass boat! Only jons, canoes and yaks bc its SHALLOW as in stand in middle of river ankle deep shallow in some parts! So yes below watkins you can fit bass boat and go down river fine. But up from watkins i would go with jon boat or something like that. Its amazing to see those rhinos jet bass boats just rip right up rapids in just inches of water! Hope this helps and good luck!

  13. Im also going to be down in that area around mid may and was wondering samething. I will be in Indian Rocks Beach area just outside of clearwater. I love saltwater fishing down there is great also but nothing like hangin into a hawg!
  14. Yes bent creek is also nice area...since you comin fron in town you could also hit Watkins landind off rt 711. Its a lil deeper on this section of river but has been known to produce some citation smallies. If you go up from watkins and go to 1st set of rapids thats usually nice place to hang'em.
  15. maidens landing on rt 522 or west view are great places to launch a yak for smallies. I use to all the time! could even take a day and pull a float from landing to landing now thats fun and catch all you want!

Ive done it several times and now im a stump pro Also if you go with partner good to have him look out front as you navigate along let you know when stumps is comin up so you can prepare! I hear people motors winding up when they get stuck which usually follows with some cuss words as you see them spin in circles stuck on stump. Ive been there before ;D
