  1. Yeah I don't think thats going to happen...guess I'll have to stick to just using the trolling motor for a while. Good thing about Briery is you don't have to go far to find the fish ;D
  2. I agree, I would try and piece one together...you could end up saving $100-$200. I bought mine straight up randomly one day while looking for a quality 1911 but I wish I would have pieced mine together. check out www.aimsurplus.com for more parts and ammo at good prices.
  3. The ar15 is made by double star and the xd is a .45...yea our weapon regulations here are not too bad.
  4. I know thats right...I don't think I'm going to mind not paying the gas bill I did with my gramp's 175hp glass boat.
  5. Good deal. Yeah the 60hp may not have the top end speed I'd like to have but 30-35 MPH is fine with me in this light of a boat.

  7. Well I've been looking for a aluminum boat for a couples months now and ended up finding a 1994 V17 for a good price and in great condition. I do have to replace the depth finder and the batteries but other than that its great. The outboard is a 60hp Merc that has been serviced and had the lower unit oil changed, new water pump, and new starter all replaced in 2010. I was just wondering if anyone round here has ever owned this model tracker and what their thoughts are on it. I keep hearing about the Targa Vs being bad about leaking but I'm hoping my boat isn't the same.
  8. I can't believe this post is still alive...Wayne is the man for sure.
  9. That was an awsome game! I got to see Jason Heyward hit a homer in his first major league at bat.
  10. I fished a small lake in carolina sunday and could not get a bass to bite but I did happen to see a very large male(5 to 6lbs) swimming around in the shallows along with a few other smaller bass and I'm guessing they too were also gearing up for the females to get on the beds. I'm going again tomorrow to hopefully catch a few if they are in fact bedding.
  11. Ok well I have a 24volt trolling motor I'm going to be mounting on my jon boat very soon and was wondering what I would need to do to wire in my sonar unit to the 2 12 volt batteries or if it is even possible to use the sonar on the same 2 batteries for the trolling motor? or will I just need to buy another battery just for my sonar?
  12. Good to hear the water is warming up in those lakes, I'm going to try and make a trip this week. Thanks for the report!
  13. I hear MAG is LAGtastic a lot of the time with that many people playing at once.
  14. Yeah same here...I'd still rather play with a mouse than a joystick though, I just seem to have better reaction speed that way. As for hackers, the last year or so that I played I only played in a few select pub servers and I had admin so when a hacker arose and the server didnt auto kick him I was usually there to do the job. I liked having the power to whip out the old ban stick from time to time ;D by the way I'm on PS3 so shoot me a friend request. EMFNEAL08
  15. yeah, i thought you got it every time until you filled the slots. maybe i'll do it if i start getting tired of the game. i havent been this into a game since Counter-Strike on the PC. i almost lost a girlfriend because of that game. any of you on ps3? look me up: poopiepants- Oh jeeez I bet I'm a 7 or 8 year veteran of CS...only reason I stopped playing was because my PC is junk now and I have a PS3....BOOM HEADSHOT! ;D
  16. My gramps just bought a Minn Kota edge 70lb for his 19ft bass boat and so far its been sweet, a very big difference between a 55lb and 70lb trolling motor for sure.
  17. All I've got to say is... TAR21 iron sights with noob tube Shotty of choice Sleight of hand pro Stopping power pro Commando pro or steady aim pro I really like the no fall damage with commando.
  18. Just buy a PS3....as far as I know (and I play a lot nowadays) the PS3 network has patched most all the issues and glitches so I've actually been having enjoyable gaming sessions here lately. If only my connection speed would stay constant I would have it made ;D As for the map pack, I havent heard about it so does anyone know if it will come out for the PS3 around the same time as xbox? I really wish they would add a few more weapons with the map pack as well.
  19. Ok so the other day my grandpa's 12 year old evinrude brand 50 some pound thrust trolling motor had a steering cable break and I was wondering if this could be fixed and how much. I ask because I have a hand controlled motor guide varimax for my jon boat and either I would like to fix the old foot controlled TM and install it on my jon boat or just use the old TM mount with my varimax hand controlled on my jon boat. Which would be easier/less expensive to do? Thanks! -Eddie
  20. MK all day. Me and my gramps just replaced his old evinrude brand trolling motor to a 70lb MK edge and it pulled his 19 ft boat everywhere and anywhere with no problems and great power even on lower settings.
  21. What a day, so heres my story...Yesterday me and my grandfather decide to take the boat out on mayo reservoir in NC and boy was we in for it. We got there around 8ish and unloaded the boat and headed for what we thought was a good spot to begin fishing. As I drop the trolling motor in the water I find that its not getting any power to it so we are floating around for about 15 minutes and finally my grandpa tinkers with it enough to get it going. So we fish around a bit for about 40 minutes and decide we are going to go look for some warmer water to fish. Right before I pull up the trolling motor I try to turn the boat around, bad idea. The cable snaps in the trolling motor and we can now only go in circles soo me and my grandpa decide we will load up and head for a boat dealer about 30 minutes away to buy a new trolling motor and install it and get back on the water for the afternoon. Well as we are heading down the road no more than maybe 10 minutes away from the dealer we notice some log trucks in front of us and then we see some pretty big sticks fall off a truck and land in the road. My grandpa tries to miss them and it looks as if we do, 5 minutes later I hear a high pitched noise and look in the side mirror and see his rear right truck tire going down FAST! So we pull over I change it and now we are so ticked we head home. Long story short first fishing trips of the year are always fun and sometimes verrrrryyy expensive, we did land one pickeral while we were fishing...my grandpa calls it his money fish! All in all our trip costed my gramps around $1000 for a new trolling motor and repairs to the valve stem on his downed tire, good times...hopefully we've got all the bad luck out of the way for the year! Tight lines fellas 8-)
  22. The high for monday is 66 and partly cloudy down my way, seems like a perfect day to be on the water 8-)
  23. Thanks for the responses guys. I'm going to maybe take it out sunday and try standing on the front bench and seeing how it works out and if its ok I guess I'll go ahead and start building my deck if not I guess there will be a jon boat for sale ;D
  24. Yeah it is still $15 unless you buy a year membership and that is somewhere between $65 - $90 I think. Thats why I'm leaning towards hitting up mayo this weekend which only about 15 minutes further away from hyco and its free to launch.
