  1. Funds are pretty tight right now with it being the holiday season. I also usually stick with their Champion Line but figured the Sierra would be fine for frogging.
  2. On Facebook, Dobyns is doing a 12 days of Christmas giveaway. I won 50% off certain rods in the sierra line. Can choose up to 4 rods at 50% off but I am only getting 1. The one I chose is the SA735C and plan on using it mainly as a frogging rod. Will also use it for my whopper plopper and some swimbaits I have. This will be my first from the sierra line. My other 3 bass rods are from Champion and Champion Xtreme line (DC 683SF, DC 705CB, & DX 744C F/H).
  3. Are you selling those?
  4. Hey guys, I have a Dobyns Sierra 735C that I plan on using for frogging mostly (may also use it for some swim baits and my whopper plopper). Looking to buy a good reel for it under $150. The 2 reels that I'm looking at right now are the Lew's Tournament Pro G for $119.99 and the Daiwa Tatula CT Type-R for $104.99. Which one do you guys think would work better for frogging on this rod? Open to other reel suggestions for under $150.
  5. I love the Rage Lobster on a jig. Always have one tied on.
  6. I am going to Lake Champlain next weekend. Will be fishing Saturday and Sunday. My favorite place in New England to fish.
  7. I am staying at Apple Island Resort June 1-4. We are renting a pontoon boat on the 2nd and 3rd. Could use some tips on productive areas there.
  8. Tower Hill Pond in Auburn NH is a place I used to fish from shore a lot. Little bit of a hike in.
  9. Anyone have any advice for fishing Winnisquam Lake? I am going on a trip there and will be renting a pontoon boat on Sept. 11th and 12th. Will be 1st time fishing here. Want to outfish the 2 buddies that are going with me.
  10. Would love to see you add to your tungsten offerings. Would like to see a tungsten ned jig. Would also like to see tungsten keel weighted hooks and tungsten tube hooks. Is the Arky jig you have a swim jig?
  11. Does anyone here use these to catch bass? I bought the 12" and 16" version to catch stripers. I like them and was thinking about buying the 8" version and use it for bass fishing. Now I know the ponds and lakes I fish don't have eels in them but was thinking the bass may think they are a snake and strike. Anyone have success using these bass fishing?
  12. Ouch! I got a treble hook stuck in my finger for 1st time this year. Thought I was going to have to go to hospital to get it out but luckily got it out on my own after many attempts. Will be using a lip gripper going forward whenever using lures with treble hooks.
  13. Buy some good raingear and you will enjoy fishing in it. I have the Bass Pro Shops 100 MPH parka and bib and love it. Throw on some Gore-Tex boots and you should stay completely dry. Cabellas also has really good rain gear.
  14. Welcome aboard JJ. There is a thread titled "Anyone have luck in Southern Nh yet" that a lot of people from NH post on. Feel free to join that discussion. Lots of people that can guide you in the right direction.
  15. This is the worst time of year for me. Hate the period between end of football season and start of fishing season (I don't ice fish). Hoping February flies by and that Spring comes early this year.
