  1. Well, in a strange turn of events I ended up with a Lowe 180 WZ with a 115 Evinrude. I found it on a website and went to look at it and closed the deal on it. It is a little rough around the edges but everything on the boat was solid. Plus, the electronics on the boat were outstanding, a brand new Lowrance HDS10, among other things. The boat has a huge front and rear castng deck and I am very impressed with it. I couldn't pass up the deal.
  2. Ok, it looks like I am going to be getting a 2003 Pro 175; it has a 75 hp merc with low hours. So will I be able to fish 2 people off of the front casting deck?
  3. Thanks guys, this is what I wanted to hear.
  4. Stay away from the new abu reels, they will not hold up to muskie fishing at all....trust me, i went through 3 in one season, not one lasting over 2 months. I have had good luck with the Shimano Corvalus and Cardiff in the 400 size.
  5. Hey guys I am going to be getting a used boat in the spring. I have been saving my money and I wanted to hear your opinions on Tracker Boats. Thanks
  6. hhmmm, I'm not sure. All I know is that there was one on my dads boat for 7 years and the only problem we ever had was the foot pedal. But, it may be time for a new motor. The Terrova is a sweet trolling motor with an awesome foot pedal.
  7. You probably need a new footpedal. The PowerDrives are noted for having problems with the footpedals. A new one cost 60-70 buckaroos.
  8. just checked them out. VERY DIFFERENT! wasn't expecting that. i think i could get to like this band It's some good stuff for sure. It's different...but amazing.
  9. I went Metal. I am a big fan of Metallica, Pantera, etc...the list could go on for days. A band one of my friends recently showed me was Alestorm. I really like their stuff. If you have never heard them, look them up on youtube.
  10. Find the deepest weededge and start throwing a 9 inch bulldawg in sherbert color. Either that or a bright colored bucktail.
  11. Haha, well I just threw it on my bumpboard really quick just too see how long it was. I guess thinking about it, I didn't even have a scale in the boat since I was muskie fishing. Oh well.
  12. The fishing isn't bad, just got to weed through the little ones.
  13. I caught this fish in a muskie tournament, so I didn't even think about weighing it until after I put her back. But I did measure here, she was 22 inches.
  14. I have never fished for muskies in Wisconsin before, I may make it there this summer though and hopefully get Scott Kieper for a day. Then it's off to Minnesota for a day with Mike Hulbert. This is going to happen on my college visits. Good Luck
  15. This is sad, once again the Wisconsin DNR proves that is is worthless. Are you fishing the PMTT?
  16. This was the first band that came to mind when I saw this post.
  17. A leader is definitely needed, but it doesn't have to be steel. Actually the most popular leaders today are made of fluorocarbon. DO NOT use anything less than 100 lb., you will get bit off sooner or later. Personally, I use Stealth Tackle 130 and 150 lb. Fluorocarbon Leaders. I only used 2 different leaders all year last year, a 130 lb on my all around rod, and a 150 lb on my big rubber rod. Also, use a good snap, I like the Stay-loks. Never had one of those fail on me. One last thing, please stay away from Musky Bill's Leaders, they are absolute junk in my opinion. They failed me on 2 different occasions, both times I lost an expensive bait too.
  18. Student during the day and Subway in the evening.
  19. one word....FINALLY!!!
  20. Thanks for the kind words everybody...hopefully i can get one 2 inches longer soon.
  21. Thats funny....I actually caught that shark.
  22. I'm not sure the exact weight, but I have caught a 46 incher that weighed 23#(according to the weight calculation formula)....this fish was fatter and longer so I would say 30#.
  23. Well, I was using a Sili Girl which is a Cowgirl with a silicon skirt, the color was midnight cisco. Fourbizz, they are definitely worth the money, I have one that is 4 years old and it looks like new...and I abuse them.
