  1. Man, what I wouldn't give! I have to work too hard to find a decent place to catch 3 lb fish. Nice place.
  2. The new wife and I went to Daytona Beach, Florida. We had a blast!! We went to St. Augustine to climb the lighthouse, and to the San Sebastian Winery. I went surfing for the first time in my life, and was not so good. I could stand up for a second or two. We also went fishing in the Halifax River (saltwater). It was fun, but I didn't catch a thing. We went to the beach, and I got plenty sunburnt, but that's alright. I'm not looking forward to waking up at 4:15 tomorrow morning to go to work.
  3. My thing, along with fishing, is running. I'm 20, and I've already completed 6 marathons, while qualifying for the Boston Marathon twice. When I'm not running, I'm either fishing or reading this forum. The wife makes me work on the weekdays.
  4. I love it when I'm pulling some sort of plastic with my rod tip, then it feels like it's stuck on a log. Then the line starts moving, it's the best!
  5. I'd say it's a record. (Just don't try to pull the thing out of its mouth)
  6. I really like the picture too. It makes it a lot more unique. Oh...I almost forgot...nice fish.
  7. I like a few, all of which are texas rigged: Brush Hog: Weightless, let it fall for a few seconds, then pull it up, reel in the slack, let it fall, on and on. Fluke: Weightless, twitch and jerk it on the retrieve.
  8. Kid Rock is kind of a creep. I like his music, but he is just weird.
  9. I like the idea of catching something off of your own ideas.
  10. I had no idea that there was so much to it. I was doing what many of you guessed: tossing a crank off of the back of the boat. I am just amazed at all of the details that go into trolling. Thanks for all of the insight guys.
  11. Wow. I never had any idea that there was so much to it. (Usually I just toss a rat-l-trap on there and start chuggin to the next spot). I am amazed to find that there is a good deal more science in in than I thought.
  12. What do you guys think about trolling? It takes absolutely no skill, but on a very slow day, it seems like the thing to do when moving from one spot to another. Any opinions?
  13. I think they tried to do something like Forrest Gump. You know, follow someone's life, in stages, then catch up to real time. Really clever actually, but it could have used a better storyline.
  14. Yeah, it's never going to happen. I'm going to move to, I don't know, Colorado, and catch the Colorado state record bass. It has to be cake compared to Georgia.
  15. No kidding man, I can't wait to get a little jon at least!
  16. It doesn't matter here. No one is ever going to break the Georgia state record.
  17. Nice fish man. That mamma will be hungry sooner or later, so go snag her.
  18. That is a stinker. Just goes to prove that the bass decide when tey want us to have a good day, not us. I'm sure you'll slay them next time though. (BTW, when do I get to come out to Cali and catch some "small" 7.4 lbers?)
  19. I live in Georgia, so where would I even report that info?
  20. Nice man! I would really like to start jig fishing! I just am not sure need somewhere to start.
  21. X2. I appreciate your service. P.S. Slay those fish!
  22. I have two years too. I have my last two exams tomorrow. Ugh. I'm tired of studying.
  23. I have been catching some LMB off of this pond on my college campus, and had a few extra hours to kill today. I went down and was catching them off of a Zoom limetreuse trick worm. I pulled it alongside of these cattails, and WHAM, a fish hit it. I was expecting a decent sized LMB, but when I pull it out of the water, it's a smallie. I didn't even know that smallies were in that pond. Also, it's been ten years since I've caught a small mouth, and I was really caught off guard. How far south do smallies live?
  24. Man, I would be happy to have any kind of boat: Give me a Jon, Canoe, or Kayak, and I would be happy!!
  25. Wow! We don't get much scenery like that here back east! I can't wait to move out there some day!
